Yoko POV
I was at P'Faye's salon today, enjoying my day off with no plans. After finishing filming BLANK, all that was left was editing and promotion, and the airing of the series, so I decided to drop by and hang out with P'Faye and her new puppy, Sunny. But P'Faye was busy cutting hair downstair since morning. Customers were lining up to have their hair cut by her.
"P'Faye is always busy with work. When will she have time to play with me?" I sighed dramatically as I wiggled my fingers in front of Sunny, hoping to get him excited.
It was hard to resist his cuteness, but it wasn't all cuddles. Sunny was funny in his own way—sweet to everyone except P'Faye. He'd act all cute with me, but with P'Faye, he'd turn into a little rascal. It drove her nuts.
I couldn't help but laugh as I watched the scene unfold. It reminded me of a video from the past—one where P'Faye was playing with a little husky, and the puppy bit her. I couldn't stop giggling. It wasn't just that she got bitten, but her exaggerated reaction was hilarious. It was such a stark contrast to her usual fierce expression. When she smiled, her whole face softened, and I loved seeing that side of her.
"You're not allowed to bite P'Faye, okay?" I said, gently picking up Sunny, pretending to give him a little lecture, though it was hard to stay serious when he was so cute. I almost wanted to bite him myself.
"Aaaaaaa..." I gasped playfully, pretending to bite him.
"Sunny!!"
Out of nowhere, P'Faye appeared, her voice sharp but her hands gentle as she grabbed Sunny from my arms. She cradled him against her chest, her expression softening as she placed him securely on her shoulder. "Yooooo, you can't eat everything you see. You can't eat Sunny." she scolded me, but there was an undeniable affection in her voice.
I chuckled at her over-the-top reaction. It was one of the things I loved most about her—her playful exaggerations that made her so lovable. P'Faye was nothing like her cold, fierce exterior. Beneath it all, she was fun and lighthearted.
"I'm not going to bite him, come on." I protested, rolling my eyes. "You're overreacting."
She raised an eyebrow, and stared at me playfully, "Yoooo... you bite anything that comes near your mouth."
I stuck my tongue out playfully, teasing her. "You're just jealous because I'm so cute with him."
Her lips curled into a pout as she stroked Sunny's fur, giving him a little playful nudge. I couldn't resist calling out to the little puppy again, "Sunny~ Sunny~ come to mama here~"
Sunny's ears perked up at the sound of his name, and without hesitation, he scrambled down from P'Faye's shoulder and trotted happily over to me. He leapt into my lap, and I gently laid him down, scratching his belly.
P'Faye stood there for a moment, watching us, her pout softening into a smile. It was hard not to smile back as I played with the little puppy. Sunny was the perfect distraction, and in a way, I was grateful for him. But more than anything, I was glad to be here with P'Faye. There was something about her, something that made these simple moments feel so special.
"Done with your work yet?" I asked, wondering if she had finished all the haircut appointments downstairs for the day.
"Umm." she replied shortly.
As I gently rubbed Sunny's belly, he let out a little sigh of contentment, his tiny paws twitching as he relaxed. The moment felt peaceful, P'Faye was still watching us, her eyes softening. It was the look I like— that tender eyes. She was always so tough, always so focused, so serious on the set. But when we hang out together, she's the one that wasn't afraid to show her affection, her warmth.
