In a world of dragons

The next day Gobber leads us all to stadium. (is that what you call it?) it was very large, there was a big door on the other side of the stadium, probably where they hold the dragons most likely.

"This is it. There's no turning back." Astrid said from the front holding her axe. I was holding my spear over my shoulder looking around. I had to take a little glance at Tuffnut, but he was already looking at me. I felt my cheeks heat up as I turned around.

We walked farther into the stadium looking around in amazement. "Wow." I whispered to myself.

"I hope I get some serious burns." I heard Tuffnut say making me turn around and look at him weirdly.

"I'm hoping for some mauling like on my shoulder or lower back." Ruffnut said. I looked at her weirdly as well. What is wrong with these two... and why do I like him?

"Ya it's only fun if you get a scar out of it." Astrid said. Why do these people want to get hurt? What is wrong with them?

"Ya no kidding right. Pain. Love it." I heard from behind me. I turned around and saw Hiccup holding an axe looking like he doesn't really want to be here.

"Oh great. Who let him in?" Tuffnut asked. I nudged him softly in the ribs making him turn to look at me. "What?" He asked like he wasn't just being a little rude to Hiccup.

"Be nice. Everyone is welcome." I said quietly to him. All he did was roll his eyes and let out a heavy breath turning back around.

"Let's get started. The recruit who does best will win the honor of killing his first dragon infront of the entire village." Gobber said making some over exaggerated hand motions.

"Hiccup already killed a Night Fury soo. Does that disqualify him or?" Snotlout asked making fun of Hiccup making the twins laugh. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

Everyone started to walk away making me walk away with them letting Gobber and Hiccup talk alone.

I nudged Snotlout. "Not that funny." I said to him rolling my eyes.

Snotlout pointed at the twins. "They thought it was." Snotlout pointed out.

I looked at him with a seriously look. "They think everything's funny." I pointed out making Snotlout roll his eyes.

"We do not." Ruffnut defended them as we lined up in front of the door.

Gobber pushed Hiccup into the line by Fishlegs. I was in between Tuffnut and Fishlegs. "behind these doors are few of the many species you will learn to fight. Deadly natter." Gobber said walking in front of us. Fishlegs started to name off dragons as Gobber talked. "The hideous Zippleback, the monstrous nightmare, the terrible terror. Can you stop that?!" Gobber yelled at Fishlegs getting annoyed. "And the Gronckle." Gobber finished naming the dragons.

Gobber put his hand on the lever to open the door. "Jaw strength 8." I heard Fishlegs whisper to Hiccup. That's a lot of strength, I mean I suppose they do eat rocks. You got to have a lot of strength for that.

"Whoa! Whoa! Wait aren't you gonna teach us first?" Snotlout asked panicked as he stepped up a little bit putting his hand out like it was gonna stop Gobber from opening the cage.

Wait he's just gonna open it without teaching us anything? What if we get hurt? I thought to my self as I took a little step back, trying to get ready for the dragon to come out and attack us all.

"I believe in learning on the job." Gobber told him as he pulled the lever making the door open.

A gronckle came flying out of the door as soon as it opened making me quickly run off with everyone else. Gobber was saying something but I was too busy getting out of the dragons way.

"Quick what's the first thing you do?" Gobber asked from where he stood out of the way.

"A doctor?" Hiccup asked.

"Plus 5 speed?" Fishlegs asked.

"A shield." Astrid said going to the shields that laid on the ground making all of us follow her lead.

I quickly picked up the one closest to me. I heard the twins fighting over a shield. Ruffnutt pulled it out of Tuffnutts grasp and hit him on the head with it. Soon the gronckle blasted at them. I winced. That looked painful

"Noise! Make lots of it to throw off a dragons sun." I heard Gobber yell. I banged my spear on my shield making noise just like the rest are doing.

The dragon looked dizzy so we all ran around hitting the shields.

Fishlegs was answering a question making the dragon blast at him aswell. "Are you ok?" I asked helping him up.

"Ya... I think." Fishlegs answered. I was to busy seeing if Fishlegs was alright the dragon used that as an advantage blasting me aswell.

Both me and Fishlegs ran off to where everyone else stood. Ruffnutt and Tuffnutt looked at me. "Liv, that was stupid." Ruffnutt said to me putting an arm around my shoulder.

"No kidding." Tuffnutt said shaking his head at me. I shrugged and watched the dragon and the others.

Not a little while later Snotlout was out, he was busy trying to flirt with Astrid. That left Astrid and Hiccup. I'm surprised he got this far.

Hiccup got blasted making his shield run away from him, Hiccup running after it and the Gronckle flying after Hiccup.

"Hiccup!" Gobber yelled out to Hiccup. The Gronckle cornered Hiccup going to blast him. Gobber ran over as fast as he could with his wooden leg, which was actually pretty fast if you asked me.

Gobber put his hooked hand into the Gronckles mouth pulling him away. "And that's six. Go back to bed, you overgrown sausage." Gobber threw him back into the cage and closed it.

"You'll get another chance, don't you worry. Remember, a dragon will always, always go for the kill." He told us pulling up Hiccup.

(I'm thinking her dragon should be a purple deadly nadder)
