The room felt more like a lair than an office, with dim lighting casting shadows on the worn walls and the faint smell of smoke lingering in the air. A man was sat at the head of the table, his legs spread wide, one elbow resting on the arm of his chair, a cigarette dangling between his fingers. He was a picture of calm menace, the kind of man who didn't need to speak loudly to be heard.

Across from him was sitting Jaxon Meadows.

His suit was immaculate, but his posture was tense, his hands clenched into fists on his thighs. For all his bravado, there was a cold realization that man sitting infront of him was sitting the leagues ahead of him-a man whose ruthlessness was carved into his very existence.

"Джексон Медоуз," (Jaxon Meadows,) the man drawled, his Russian accent heavy but his words sharp. He leaned back, his cigarette hanging loosely from his lips, a faint smirk curling at the corners. "Наконец-то ты нашёл в себе смелость встретиться со мной лицом к лицу. Какой повод? Раскаяние?" (You've finally grown the courage to meet me face-to-face. What's the occasion? Regret?)

Jaxon didn't flinch. He met other ones piercing gaze with his own cold stare, though his fingers twitched slightly. "Раскаяние?" (Regret?) he repeated, his voice measured, almost mocking. "Я ни о чём не жалею. Я здесь, чтобы обсудить дело, Alessio." (I don't regret anything. I'm here to talk business, Alessio)

Alessio chuckled darkly, the sound low and unnerving. He tapped the ash from his cigarette into the ashtray, his eyes narrowing as he leaned forward. "Дело," (Business,) he repeated, as though tasting the word. "Ты имеешь в виду твою маленькую сестрёнку? Как её там зовут... ах, да. YN." (You mean that little sister of yours? What was her name again... ah, yes. YN.)

Jaxon's jaw tightened, but he forced himself to stay composed.

"Я помню, как однажды сделал тебе предложение," (I remember making you an offer once,) Alessio continued, his tone casual yet cutting. "Я предложил взять её в жёны. А ты отказал. Сказал, что она неприкосновенна." (I proposed taking her as my wife. And you-you refused. Said she was untouchable.) He laughed then, a cruel, mocking sound. "И вот ты здесь. Что изменилось, Джексон? Отчаяние?" (And yet, here you are. What changed, Jaxon? Desperation?)

Jaxon's eyes darkened, his voice cold and firm. "Это не имеет ничего общего с отчаянием. Что сделано, то сделано. Она больше не часть этого разговора." (This has nothing to do with desperation. What's done is done. She's not part of this conversation anymore.)

Alessio's smirk widened, his amusement obvious. "Не часть разговора?" (Not part of the conversation?) He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Ты продал её Чон Джонгуку, не так ли?" (You sold her to Jeon Jungkook, didn't you?) His words sliced through the air like a blade. "Ты продал её своему врагу. Скажи мне, Джексон, знает ли она, какой ты человек? Что её собственный брат отдал её, как товар?"

(You sold her to your enemy. Tell me, Jaxon, does she know what kind of man you are? That her own brother handed her over like a piece of property?)

Jaxon's fists clenched tighter, his knuckles turning white. "Ты ничего об этом не знаешь," (You don't know anything about it,) he shot back, his voice low but steady.

Alessio leaned back again, his laughter echoing through the room. "О, я знаю достаточно. Джонгук - не просто твой враг, Джексон. Он король в этом мире, а ты? Ты всего лишь пешка, которая отдала свою королеву волкам." (Oh, I know enough. Jungkook's not just your enemy, Jaxon. He's a king in this world, and you? You're nothing but a pawn who handed his queen over to the wolves.)
