He stood at the balcony’s edge. His hands were buried in his pockets, his body still as stone, but the weight in his stare could shatter glass.

Behind him, the sound of footsteps approached. He didn’t turn. Didn’t need to.

Jimin stopped a few steps away, hesitating for the briefest second before speaking.

"Jaxon," he said, voice low, careful. "He was the one behind it."

His jaw clenched.

A sharp exhale left his nose, barely a reaction, but jimin knew better. Knew that the silence was heavier than any outburst.

"I was right." His voice was deep, emotionless.

Jimin’s fingers twitched. He didn’t like this. The eerie calm. The way He wasn’t moving—was just standing there, absorbing the truth like a blade sinking deep into flesh.

And then—

A slow, dark chuckle.

Jimin narrowed his eyes

as Jungkook tilted his head slightly, just enough for the light to catch in his eyes.

"His own blood." The words were soft, almost amused. "He didn’t even spare his own sister."

Other one remained quiet.

He finally moved, rolling his shoulders, the tension in his body rippling like a beast ready to strike. His fingers twitched inside his pockets, aching to wrap around a throat.

"He had the audacity to take what’s.... "

Jimin inhaled sharply, staring at him. Mine.

That silent word.

He understand.

Not the girl. Not Meadows.

Mine.

He turned then, finally facing him, and for a second, Jimin wished he hadn’t.

His eyes were empty. A void so deep that even hell would hesitate to claim him.

"Few more days." His voice was quiet, but it rang through the air like a death sentence.

"Found him, where he is hiding."

Jimin nodded, "We are finding."

The silence was again silence build up between them..but not soon enough

His voice cut through, steady yet laced with something that felt dangerously close to doubt.

"Don’t think too much about it… but I need to ask you something."

Jungkook didn’t move. Didn’t even spare him a glance. Instead, he simply hummed—a low, deep sound that barely acknowledged other's presence.

But Jimin knew him too well. Knew that silence from him meant more than words ever could.

Still, he pushed forward.

"Do you think this is going to work?"

Jungkook finally turned his head, jaw tight, expression unreadable. And then—

"For my child, everything."

Four words. Spoken so simply. So effortlessly.

Like they were the only truth that mattered.

Jimin exhaled through his nose, his arms crossing over his chest. Right. The child.

But that wasn’t the answer he was looking for.
