The next day Regina tried three times till she managed to wake Will up. He complained, as always, but soon they were one the road again. As they kept wandering around searching for Robin, an idea crossed her mind.

"What if he's in the castle? What are gonna do?", she asked Will.

"The castle? No, I'm not going in there! It's too dangerous!"

"But we can't leave him there. He might be in prison!"

"We don't even know if he's there! Relax!", he said irritated.

"You're right. Sorry"

But then they heard something weird. A screech. They both looked around, but saw nothing.

"Something was here. Where is it now?"

"I don't know. Maybe it was just an innocent animal.", Will said.

It wasn't. They heard that noise again and turned their heads up, where it came from. It was a flying monkey.

"Duck!", Will shouted as the monster attacked us.

Regina grabbed her bow and shooted it, but she missed.

"What?! I never miss!!"

"Not the time to worry!"

Will was trying to avoid the creature with his sword, while she raised her bow once again.

"Got ya!", she exclaimed when she hit it.

But by the time they thought it would leave, it came towards them for one more time. Regina fell down trying to avoid it and Will managed to scrach it on the side. It finally flew away and they exchanged smiles of relief.

Not until they managed to catch their breaths did Regina realise she was hurt.

"Will, look!", she said pointing to the blood on my arm.

"You're hurt! We gave to stop the bleeding. Here", he said as he teared a part of his sleeve and tied it around the wound.

"Hey! That hurt!", I said.

"A simple thank you would suffice. We can rest here if you want, until it gets better."

"No. We have to move! What if there's more of them?", she said and stood up.

At that point Regina felt strangely weak. The bleeding had almost stopped, though.

"What the hell?", she didn't mean to say that loud, but it came out.

"What is it, love?", Will asked worried.

"I feel like I haven't slept for days and I almost can't move my legs.", she explained.

"But there's no more blood. You lost much, but not that much. How?", he inquired.

And when she realised what it was, she was terrified.

"That flying monkey. No doubt it poisoned me. We have to do something quickly!"

"Okay, it's okay. I know what we need, but it's kinda far. Can you walk?"

"Yes, but not for long.", she said.

They began their journey to a new destination. Will kept asking her if she was okay and she kept saying yes, because she didn't want to worry him. The truth was she felt more and more weak.

After those years in the forest Regina knew a little about poisonous snakes and mushrooms, but not monkeys. Let alone flying ones.

Anyway, after two hours of half walking  half falling on Will, we got out of the forest. In front of us led a valley of beautiful blood-red poppies.

"Don't get too close!", he warned her.

"Why? They're just poppies!"

"Their smell is dangerous. It can put you to sleep and sometimes you never wake up.", he explained as he helped her sit under one of the last trees.

"I'm fine, thank you. So what are we doing here, if we could die?", she asked.

"These poppies, their nektar, is the antidote to the monkey's poison, love", Will said. "If you drink it, you'll heel."

"That's great. Do you have any plans on how we get them without dying?"

"That's the tricky part. Nothing is simple here, as you can see. But you don't need to worry, I'll get them."

"What? You think I'm incapable of taking care of myself? Of course I can come and I will!", she yelled.

I may have overreacted, but I hated it when men acted like 'Oh I'll save you, I'm your knight in shinning armour!' . I can do it myself.

With that she tried to get up, but fell back down, her legs giving up on her.

"You don't have the strength right now, love. I know you're a strong and brave woman, but the poison has almost got you. And smelling these poppies will get you worse. You stay here, rest, and I'll be back in a while.", he said.

"But.."

"No buts, Regina. I'm going, you're staying!", he interrupted her and turned to leave.

"Will..", Regina stopped him, gripping on his arm, "Why are you doing this for me?"

"I'm actually doing it for myself. It's a chance of redemption for me. If I save you, I'm one step closer to it. Plus, you're my friend."

"Well thank you anyways. And be careful."

"You too.", he said and left.

Regina just sat there, under the tree, near the poppies' valley, waiting for Will, trying not to think of 'what if's , filling her mind with Robin and his smell of forest. She figured it was a good way not to lose all her strength.

Regina and Will are two of my fav characters so here they are together, but nothing nasty will happen, promise. OQ FOR LIFE. Robin will be up after the next chapter again with a flashback. That's all, thanks for reading, please vote :)
