I was in the car with Will, Nick and Tyler. Alex and Noah were in the other car. The radio was blaring and we were dancing and singing along. Tyler, in the passenger seat, texted Alex to see where they wanted to eat for lunch. Alex was in the other car, driving. Alex picked up his phone and looked down to read the text he had just gotten. He looked up and a car, our car, was right there. The cars collided.
I felt a jolt as I woke up. I wiped the sweat off of my forehead. Just then I had remembered what happened last night. I picked up my phone and I had a message from my mom. I listened to it.
"Hey its me. I just wanted to tell you that we are back at the hospital this morning and that Nick is doing good and that Ryan is on the way to getting better. He is no longer in critical condition and had surgery last night. Hopefully he can go home soon." There was a break in the message where I thought I heard my brother in the background talking to my mom. The message continued, "Hey Bea it's me... That rhymes." It was my brother. I smiled at how dorky Nick was. "I just wanted to talk to you and say hi. I'm hoping that you could come see me today because they aren't letting me out until later. They are also letting family and close friends see Ryan because like mom said, he is getting better, so you could probably see him too. I better get going because I'm not supposed to be on the phone until I get home, but I know you won't tell anyone that I talked to you." I'm sure he was smiling. "Love you, bye."
I texted Tyler to see if Will was back from up north yet. Tyler replied and said that he came down right after he got the news. So I called Will.
"Good morning sunshine." Will sounded really happy to hear from me.
"Good morning Will." I smiled.
"How is Nick doing?"
"My mom left me a message this morning and she said he was okay. He also left a little message too."
"I thought that they couldn't use phones yet."
"Um yeah. They cant."
"Rebel."
"So anyways he is getting let out later today and Ryan is getting better and they are letting people in to see him."
"I should probably go to see him. It sounded pretty bad."
"It was."
"Would you like to accompany me?"
"I sure would."
"Pick you up at 11:30?"
"That will work for me."
"Sounds fantastic."
"Sounds wonderful."
"Sounds fabulous."
"Sounds..." I had nothing. "Sounds like I have nothing, so this is where I say goodbye and hang up."
"Okay. But no goodbyes. See you later?"
"Okay. See you later."
He hung up first and I took a deep breath and sighed. Then I realized that it was 11:00. Will was coming in 30 minutes and I was not dressed and I didn't eat yet and I still had to take a shower. I skipped the shower and went straight to my bedroom to pick out an outfit.
I sat on my bed to get my socks on and I noticed the frame with the autograph and picture in it. It had fallen off my bed and onto the floor while I was sleeping. I hadn't even thought to move it before I went to bed. I grabbed it and went downstairs. I put it up in the living room where everyone could see it.
