The door was pounding rapidly, the force behind each knock growing more desperate by the second. Jungkook could barely stand on his feet, his body still weak and trembling from whatever illness or exhaustion had taken over him. His mind was clouded, but his instincts were still sharp. Something about the urgency on the other side of the door didn’t sit well with him.

Jungkook: “Aaira...”
Jungkook muttered under his breath, his voice strained, trying to make his way toward the door. His hand reached out for the handle, but his body protested. He wavered, barely able to balance himself. Aaira, standing behind him, immediately moved forward and placed a hand on his shoulder to steady him. Her grip was firm, but gentle, showing both her concern and strength.
Aaira: “No, Jungkook,”
Aaira said firmly, her voice carrying an authoritative tone.
Aaira: “Stay back. I’ll handle it.”
He turned his head to face her, confusion clouding his eyes as if he didn’t understand why she would want to take the risk herself. The door was being slammed against with increasing violence from the other side, and Jungkook could feel the pressure mounting in his chest. But there was something in Aaira’s eyes, something that spoke of her ability to manage the situation. Jungkook opened his mouth to protest, but Aaira quickly reassured him, her voice low yet confident.
Aaira: “Trust me. I can take care of it. You need to rest.”
He hesitated, his brow furrowing in frustration, but after a moment, he gave in.
Jungkook: “Fine,”
He muttered, leaning back against the wall, still too exhausted to protest further.
Jungkook: “But if anything happens...”
Aaira: “I’ll be fine,”
She interjected, giving him a small, reassuring smile. Aaira turned towards the door just as the banging grew even more frantic, as if whoever was on the other side was ready to break it down. She didn’t flinch. With a deep breath, she moved toward the door.
Her hand reached for the handle, but before she could even touch it, it swung open violently. The door flew wide, and there, standing in the threshold, was a man with a furious expression that could only belong to one person, Yoongi, Jungkook’s older brother.
Yoongi’s eyes were burning with rage, his fists clenched by his sides as he stepped into the room, pushing Aaira aside without a second thought. She stumbled back, surprised by his sudden aggression, but she quickly regained her composure. Her gaze narrowed at him, but she held her tongue, knowing that confronting him wasn’t the smartest move right now. Not when he was this angry.
Jungkook: “Hyung...”
Jungkook managed to croak, trying to steady himself as he slowly made his way toward the man.
