Aaira sat frozen on the ground, her breathing shallow and uneven as the weight of her stalker’s words bore down on her. She clutched her head in her hands, the fear coursing through her veins like ice. Her mind raced, replaying every twisted word he had spoken. The thought made her stomach churn. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t hear the faint sound of footsteps descending the stairs.

Jungkook: “Aaira?”
The soft voice startled her, and she looked up sharply to see Jungkook standing at the bottom of the staircase. His dark eyes were filled with concern as he quickly made his way over to her.
Jungkook: “Are you okay?”
He asked, kneeling down beside her. His brows were furrowed, and his hands hovered near her shoulders as though he was afraid she might collapse. Aaira stared at him, her throat tightening. She wanted to tell him the truth, to unburden herself, but how could she? How could she explain that her stalker, someone Jungkook had tried to find but didn't found had returned?
That he had called her on this house’s phone? It sounded ridiculous even to her. What if Jungkook thought she was imagining things? What if he blamed himself for not being able to protect her? No, she couldn’t do that to him.
Aaira: “I’m fine.”
She said quickly, trying to keep her voice steady. She forced a small smile, though it felt hollow.
Aaira: “I just... I came down for some water and then felt a little dizzy, so I sat down.”
Jungkook didn’t look convinced. His dark eyes searched her face for answers, his worry deepening. Without a word, he moved closer and wrapped one arm around her shoulders, pulling her into a side hug. His touch was warm and comforting, and for a moment, Aaira allowed herself to lean into him, her body trembling slightly as she tried to gather her composure.
Jungkook: “Are you sure you’re okay?”
He asked again, his voice soft but insistent. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, his lips lingering there as though he was trying to soothe whatever turmoil she was feeling.
Jungkook: “You’ve been through so much, Aaira. You don’t have to push yourself.”
She nodded quickly, hoping to reassure him.
Aaira: “I’m okay,”
She said, though her voice sounded far from convincing.
Aaira: “Really, it’s nothing.”
Jungkook pulled back slightly, studying her face. There was a flicker of doubt in his eyes, but he didn’t push her further. Instead, he hesitated before asking.
Jungkook: “Are you sure you’re okay with this marriage? You can change your decision, you know. If you’re having second thoughts, it’s okay. I’ll understand.”
