Aaira and Jungkook descended the stairs together, her hand delicately resting in his. She was painfully aware of the faint soreness along her neck and collarbone. She had spent the better part of her morning concealing the marks he had left, knowing they wouldn’t be appropriate for her family or his to see.

When they reached the bottom, the murmur of voices from the living room caught Aaira’s attention. Her steps faltered when she recognized the familiar timbre of her mother’s laughter.
Aaira: “Mumma? Dadda?”
She called out, stepping into the room. Mr. and Mrs. Stark turned to face her, both smiling warmly. They had left the night before after the engagement party, but now they were back, their presence was comforting and surprising. Mrs. Stark immediately came over, wrapping Aaira in a tight hug.
Mrs. Stark: “My darling, you look as radiant as ever.”
She said, pulling back to examine her daughter’s face. Then, her eyes flicked to Jungkook, who stood respectfully to the side.
Mrs. Stark: “And Jungkook.”
She said, her tone softening.
Mrs. Stark: “Taking good care of my daughter, I hope?”
Jungkook gave a polite nod, a small smile tugging at his lips.
Jungkook: “Always, Mrs. Stark.”
Once the pleasantries were exchanged, Aaira and Jungkook settled on the plush sofa as the conversation turned to wedding plans. The atmosphere was light and filled with excitement.
Mr. Stark: “We’ve been thinking,”
Mr. Stark began.
Mr. Stark: “That this wedding should be nothing short of spectacular. Aaira deserves the best.”
Mrs. Bang, Jungkook’s mother, raised an inquisitive brow.
Mrs. Bang: “What do you have in mind?”
Mrs. Stark: “A destination wedding.”
Mrs. Stark interjected with a wide smile.
Mrs. Stark: “In Venice. It’s romantic, beautiful, and perfect for such a special occasion.”
The suggestion was met with murmurs of approval. Mrs. Bang nodded thoughtfully.
Mrs. Bang: “Venice is indeed a wonderful choice. It would be a wedding to remember.”
As the families dived into discussions about logistics and arrangements, Namjoon, Jungkook’s older brother, leaned back in his chair, his gaze shifting between Jungkook and Aaira. His expression grew curious.
Namjoon: “Were you two arguing last night?”
He asked bluntly, his tone casual but probing. The question caught Aaira off guard, her heart skipping a beat. She felt Jungkook’s hand tense around hers, his grip firm, a silent reminder to stay calm. Mr. Stark’s sharp gaze immediately landed on Jungkook, his protective instincts flaring.
