"Okay welcome to your crash course on killin Nazi's!" Montague said proudly as Y/N and Dierdre watched from a concealed position.
"Are you sure he's the right man for the job? He seems very..."
"Effective?"
"I was going to say mad." Dierdre said as Y/N chuckled.
"Good." Y/N remarked as he looked at the training, watching with a grin.
"Y/N, you promised to have these men and women trained." Dierdre said as Y/N nodded.
"And I intend to live up to that promise, Montague will train these men and women into a fighting force capable of disrupting the Nazi war machine." Y/N said calmly.
"No, they're being trained to be weapons of war-"
"It may have escaped your notice sweetheart but we are at war." Y/N said bluntly as Dierdre shook her head.
"Y/N, you promised to have them trained to be capable soldiers."
"You will get capable soldiers, you needn't worry, by the time he's done your Frenchies will be collecting more white flags than they have ever waved in their lives." Y/N said coldly as he watched the training.
Dierdre watched as Montague trained the resistance members to hate and to do one thing... to raise hell for their enemies. She looked to Y/N who grinned and climbed out of the tree, helping Dierdre down and heading back to the main camp, taking a diverted route in case she was captured, she would be unable to divulge the location of the camp.
"Carthings, gather everyone but Montague and get them ready for a briefing." Y/N ordered as he stepped into his tent and looked at a map with the latest information he had retrieved.
The men all gathered around.
"now as I'm sure you all know we have mostly stuck to raiding supply depots, airfields, other vital areas, Well tonight will be somewhat different, the French Resistance has given us a target as a... sign of co-operation."
"What is the target sir?" Greengrass asked as Y/N rolled his eyes.
"Sir? It's not a fucking school Greengrass. However, to answer your question, this man is our target." Y/N said as he handed out photo's of the man. "This man, a German officer, tonight we are going to kill him and send a message to the Nazi's and the locals. The message for the Nazi's: Leave being a savage to us, the professionals!"
"YES!" The Soldiers all cheered in unison.
"This will be our one shot at this officer, after tonight he leaves town for good, transferring back to Berlin to oversee a project, in other words, we have to reach him without being detected... if we're detected... he will likely escape before we get the chance to kill him. For those of you interested this man has killed members of the French resistance... and their families, including the women and children."
The men all seemed to share a look and immediately grabbed their weapons.
"We move out at 22:30, dismissed!" Y/N said firmly as he sighed to himself, just then one of the men spoke up.
"Boss?"
"Yes?" Y/N said with an exhausted tone.
"Who's the bird? What's she doin' here?" Basings asked as Y/N looked at him.
One of the new recruits chuckled.
"Something funny private?"
"Well it's obvious why she's here, she's your bit of totty isn't she, relief for the lads." The man said as Y/N looked at him.
"Come here." Y/N said coldly, pointing to the spot right in front of him.
The Private stepped forward and Carthings knew what was about to happen.
Y/N headbutted the private and looked at him.
"I want it known that i would have done that regardless of my relation to this fine lady. We may be savage warriors in battle, but we are also gentlemen, and i will not have this boorish behaviour in my fucking unit, apologise to the lady at once-"
"Y/N, there's no need, I'm sure the private here was merely joking. I'm certain he was just trying to alleviate the stress that comes with your service. Now, to answer your Question... I'm sorry, Basings, was it?"
"Yes Ma'am?"
"To answer your question Basings, I am the one charged as working as a handler of sorts for Y/N and your entire unit, I am a liaison between you all, the high command, and the French Resistance."
"So what is your connection to the boss?" Price asked as Y/N looked at him.
"She is my fiancée, however that bares no influence right now. The fact remains she is to be treated like all women should be, with respect." Y/N said as the men all looked at her, "Dismissed."
Y/N turned and climbed up into his tent and sighed to himself, closing his while Carthings approached Dierdre.
"He's doing this for you, you know. All this. He doesn't say it to us but I can see it. You're keeping him together, so do us all a favour... don't fucking die." Carthings said calmly before leaving and lighting a cigarette...
