Earth, 2014.

It was morning. Raven got out of her bed and tiptoed toward Teddy's room. She quietly opened the door and saw Teddy was still in his bed. Raven jumped onto Teddy's bed and wrapped her arms around him to wake him up. Teddy opened his eyes and looked at his little sister.

"Happy birthday, Teddy!" Said Raven.

Teddy rubbed his eyes and hugged Raven back.

"Thank you, Raven." Said Teddy.

Raven got off of Teddy and let him get out of bed.

"So, how does it feel to be twelve?" Asked Raven.

"Not much different than being eleven. But twelve does sound like an older number. Like I'm not quite a kid anymore." Said Teddy.

Just then, Mumma walked into the room.

"Good morning, twelve-year-old baby boy!" Said Mumma as she hugged Teddy.

Teddy hugged Mumma back and glanced at Raven. Mumma pulled away and took Teddy's cheeks in her hands.

"You look so much older." Said Mumma.

"I'm sure I do." Said Teddy.

Mumma smiled and hugged Raven.

"Good morning, pumpkin." Said Mumma.

"Good morning, Mumma." Said Raven.

Mumma looked at her kids.

"Well, I'll have breakfast ready soon, so you two can do whatever until then." Said Mumma.

Mumma smiled as she walked away.

"I'm gonna be the center of attention all day, aren't I." Said Teddy.

"Well, it is your birthday." Said Raven.

Later that day.

Teddy and Raven were playing on the Xbox again while Mumma was working on making the birthday cake and Da was reading the news.

"This is insanity." Said Da as he read the news.

Da looked at Mumma.

"Soph, listen to this. All those aliens that have been seen across the country in the last five years are actually some kid from Bellwood. First, a flying billionaire, then an alien invasion in New York, then those Meta-Humans created after that fallout in Central City, and now a teenager who turns into aliens! What next?" Said Da.

"Well, some of those people are doing good." Said Mumma.

"But now we have to raise two kids in a world that's filling up with people who have god-like abilities and answer to no authority. They're not heroes, they're vigilantes, and more of them seem to pop up every day." Said Da.

"Let's not let this get in the way of Teddy's birthday. I understand you're worried about this, but let's try to calm down a bit." Said Mumma.

"I'm calm, honey." Said Da.

At that moment, a knock came at the door. Da went to answer the door and saw it was Mumma's sister and her three kids.

"Hello, Delilah." Said Da.

"Donald. We're here for Teddy's birthday party. Where are the other guests?" Said Delilah.

"It's just family, and you weren't invited." Said Da.

Da looked at Delilah's kids.

"But I'll let you kids in so you can play with your cousins." Said Da.

The three kids, Veronica, Justin, and Julie, went into the living room and greeted Teddy and Raven.

"Hey, Teddy. Happy birthday, man." Said Justin.

"Thanks, Justin. Good to see you." Said Teddy.

Raven got up and smiled at the other two girls.

"Julie! Veronica!" Said Raven.

Julie hugged Raven.

"Good to see you, Rayray." Said Julie as she used her nickname for Raven.

Raven returned the hug and smiled. She then looked at Veronica.

"Why couldn't you invite any of my friends? Or at least invite other kids?" Said Veronica.

"Because you guys are all we've kinda got. Remember, we moved here only a few months ago." Said Teddy.

"Yeah, and besides, I love spending time with you guys!" Said Raven.

"We love spending time with you too." Said Julie.

Justin sat next to Teddy.

"So, what you two been playing?" Asked Justin.

"A bit of Minecraft. Wanna join in?" Said Teddy.

"Hell yeah!" Said Justin.

"Yeah, cause it's not like you two ever have a player three ever." Said Veronica.

"Veronica, be nice." Said Julie.

Veronica just sighed and sat down.

"Let's go on an adventure. Closest we'll ever get to one this cool." Said Teddy as they played.

Meanwhile, Mumma was trying to bake the birthday cake and keep Delilah from getting in her way with her drama.

"And I mean, who does he think he is? I came to him holding my heart out to him and he rejected me all over again. How could he?" Said Delilah.

Mumma only nodded so as not to get involved.

"He's the only man for me, and he won't take me back." Said Delilah.

While Mumma wasn't going to say anything, Da wasn't so polite.

"Then why did you cheat on him?" Asked Da.

Mumma leaned up and took a breath as Delilah seemed like she was going to start an argument with Da, which Da would only enjoy even more.

Later that day.

Mumma finished putting candles on the cake and walked it into the dining room where everyone was waiting.

"Happy birthday, sweet pea." Said Mumma.

The cake was placed in front of Teddy.

"Make a wish, Teddy." Said Raven.

Teddy closed his eyes, took a breath, and blew out the candles.

After that, everyone got a slice of cake to eat.

Raven took a bite of her cake and looked at Teddy.

"Well, birthday boy, when do you want to open your presents?" Asked Raven.

"Right once we're done eating cake I think." Said Teddy.

Raven smiled at Teddy.

"Let me guess, you want me to open your present first." Said Teddy.

"You know me too well." Said Raven.

After finishing the cake, Teddy started opening presents starting with Raven's.

Teddy opened the present and pulled out a box of colored pencils.

"Oh wow!" Said Teddy.

"I know you like to draw a lot, and I figured you could get more detail out of these than the crayons you've been using." Said Raven.

"Thank you, Raven. This means a lot." Said Teddy.

Teddy hugged Raven.

"You're welcome, Teddy." Said Raven.

After the hug, Teddy was handed another present to open, and he enjoyed the rest of his birthday with his family.
