Earth, 2014.

Teddy and Raven were walking through the neighborhood Mimi and Pipi lived in. Da was walking behind them a ways as he was mainly just keeping an eye on them. They were walking toward the beach that was at the edge of this neighborhood.

"I can't remember the last time we went to the beach!" Said Raven.

"If I remember correctly, it was on the East Coast." Said Teddy.

"Yeah. But this time it's a great lake beach!" Said Raven.

"You've seen it before." Said Teddy.

"When I was a baby! Now I get to actually swim in something that isn't a pool!" Said Raven.

"Just don't go out too far where I can't wade to you, okay." Said Teddy.

Raven looked at Teddy with understanding.

"Oh right, you can't swim." Said Raven.

"Yeah. Just make sure I can always get to you." Said Teddy.

"Always trying to protect me, huh?" Said Raven.

"Always." Said Teddy.

Teddy put his arm around Raven's shoulders as they walked.

Once they arrived at the beach, Raven was already wearing her swimsuit so she kicked off her sneakers and ran toward the water. Teddy sighed as she ran ahead of him quickly and he took off his shirt.

"Wait up!" Said Teddy.

Teddy ran after Raven. Teddy was already wearing swim trunks and beach shoes as he caught up with Raven.

"We jump in together! On three! One. Two. Three!" Said Raven.

On three Raven and Teddy jumped in the water. Teddy quickly stood up in the water, but as soon as he did, Raven splashed him in the face. Teddy turned his head to look at Raven and splashed her back. Raven giggled as the two siblings played in the water.

"This is so nice! And no salty ocean smell or pool smell! Just crystal clear lake water!" Said Raven.

Raven began to float on her back a bit and looked at Teddy out of the corner of her eye.

"Come on, at least give it a try." Said Raven as she referred to back floating.

"I'm good." Said Teddy.

"You're no fun when it comes to water." Said Raven teasingly.

Teddy sighed.

"Just don't go too far." Said Teddy.

"I won't." Said Raven.

Raven stopped floating on her back and started to swim around the shallow water.

Teddy waded out of the water and walked along the beach collecting rocks and looked toward Raven every once in a while to make sure she was okay. Teddy glanced and saw Da was sitting on a bench watching Raven in the water, so Teddy knew she was safe, but that didn't stop him from checking himself.

After a while, Teddy was near the shore collecting another rock when Raven came out of the water next to him.

"Alright, I think I've had enough swimming for now." Said Raven.

Raven pushed her wet hair out of her eyes and looked up at Teddy.

"Wanna build a sandcastle?" Asked Raven.

"Sure. Lead the way." Said Teddy.

Raven smiled and went to the spot she wanted to build the sandcastle.

After a while of working with the moist sand, Teddy and Raven managed to make a decently sized sandcastle.

"And done! Now we can pretend!" Said Raven.

"Wanna pretend to be Prince Teddy and Princess Raven again?" Asked Teddy.

Raven had always wanted to pretend to be royal kids when they played kingdom-related stuff.

"Actually, I've gotten kinda bored with that. I want adventure!" Said Raven.

"Adventure? So what do you wanna pretend then?" Asked Teddy.

"That we're defending the kingdom from a monster from the depths of the lake!" Said Raven.

"Then I will be the knight Sir Teddy, defender of the kingdom with my sword." Said Teddy as he picked up a stick.

Raven also picked up a stick.

"Gonna be a knight too?" Asked Teddy.

"No. I am a mage! The great sorceress Raven! And this is my staff!" Said Raven.

"Well then, great sorceress, the monster arises!" Said Teddy.

Raven and Teddy stood between the sandcastle and the lake.

"Then we must protect our kingdom!" Said Raven.

Teddy and Raven charged at the lake and pretended to fight something. They smiled and laughed as they played. Teddy swung his stick like a sword, and Raven held her staff up pretending to cast spells.

The siblings pretend to be what they unknowingly will one day become. Heroes.
