Earth, 2014.

Da was working on his chainsaw, and it wasn't going well.

"God damn it! Piece of... Gah!" Said Da.

Da shook his head and went inside.

"Soph, I gotta go to the store to get a new chainsaw." Said Da.

"Couldn't you just fix the one you have?" Asked Mumma.

"Eh, I might as well get a new one." Said Da.

"Okay. Have fun." Said Mumma.

Da looked at Teddy who was sitting while drawing.

"Come on, kid. Let's go." Said Da.

"Wait, how'd I become part of this?" Asked Teddy.

"Don't you wanna spend time with your old man?" Asked Da.

"Not really, no." Said Teddy.

"Well, too bad. I wanna spend time with my kid. Come on." Said Da.

Teddy sighed and followed Da out the door. Mumma waved at them as Da drove away with Teddy in the car.

Mumma looked up into the sky.

"It's a nice day out today." Said Mumma.

Mumma went back inside and knocked on Raven's door.

"Come in." Said Raven.

Mumma opened the door.

"Hey, Mumma." Said Raven.

"I just came to tell you that it looks like a nice day out, so if you wanna walk to the park just let me know." Said Mumma.

"Really? Yeah, let's go!" Said Raven.

Raven got up and took Mumma's hand as they went to walk to the park.

Meanwhile.

While driving at the hardware store, Da glanced at Teddy in the other seat before speaking.

"So, what's new with you?" Asked Da.

"Not much." Said Teddy.

"Any thoughts on stuff?" Asked Da.

"Nothing you'd wanna hear about." Said Teddy.

"Well, you're a young man. What's on your mind? Trucks, chicks, guns, hunting?" Said Da.

"My story." Said Teddy.

"Oh, not that silly story of yours." Said Da.

"It's not silly. It's something I enjoy." Said Teddy.

"Is it making you money?" Asked Da.

"I'm twelve, Da. That doesn't matter right now." Said Teddy.

"Well, talk about something else." Said Da.

"I don't want to." Said Teddy.

"Why do you always have to do the opposite of what I say?" Asked Da.

Teddy glared at Da and the two continued to go back and forth the whole way to the hardware store.

Meanwhile.

Raven ran ahead of Mumma bit while holding her arms out like an airplane. They arrived at the park and Raven saw other kids playing on the playground equipment.

"Can I go play with them, Mumma?" Asked Raven.

"Go right ahead, pumpkin." Said Mumma.

Raven smiled and ran over to the playground equipment. Some of the other kids noticed her run up and looked at her.
