Y/n's POV

I was running along the streets of Manhattan, one hand held to the side of my dirks sheath as I panted heavily. I looked around uneasily, waiting for a monster to jump me, or something to go wrong.

Earlier that morning Annabeth had Iris messaged me. She seemed incredibly exhausted and fatigued. In the moment I was happy to see her, but I didn't even have the chance to say hello. She quickly told me to meet her at Meriwether College Prep, in downtown Manhattan and then she hung up. So there I was running along the street gray jacket blowing in the wind, rose tucked behind my ear as I rushed ahead.

Within a few minutes I turned down the street where the school was. I looked up ahead and a fire was ablaze in the distance. Which I took as I sign that something monster related must be going on.

I quickly picked up the pace as I bolted along the sidewalk, a firetruck blazing past me as I continued.

The school grew bigger in the distance, and I approached a dark alleyway. I glanced down it slightly, just as a precaution, when suddenly a hand shot out at me. I tried to jump back but it grabbed me by the arm and yanked me in. I pulled my arm away and unsheathed my Stygian Iron dirk, prepared to fight whatever monster stood in front of me. Well that was until I saw those familiar storm gray eyes staring back at me.

"Annabeth?"

She sighed in exasperation. "Who else, Plant Boy?" she shook her head slightly. "What took you so long?"

"Well excuse me. I only had to sneak out of camp, and run thirty miles on foot to get here. I had to skip breakfast for this!"

She groaned. "It doesn't matter, the fact is you're here and that's all I need. Now we just need to wait for those idiots."

I looked back at her a bit hesitantly. I had already been able to tell from the Iris message just how fatigued she was but it was even more prominent in person. The scratches in her clothes, the tension in her body, and the wild uneasy look in her storm gray eyes. There was definitely something deeper going on.

I was about to try and ask her when suddenly two people ran past the alley. I instinctively jumped further into the shadows to hide, but Annabeth jumped forward, grabbing them both and pulling them in.

I still gripped my dirk as I took a step closer to the two. But slowly I came to realize who I was looking at. The jet black hair, the rebellious aura, and of course the green sea foam eyes.

"Percy?"

He looked over at me. The friend I hadn't seen in months, the guy that had saved my life more times than I could count, the guy I would follow to hell and back (which I had). Standing right in front of me.

"Y/n?"

I smirked, "Give me a hug dude."

I didn't wait for an answer as I wrapped him in my arms, Percy slowly joining in as well. Eventually I let go as I backed up. Looking him up and down.

"Woah, man what's with the gym shorts and tie-dye shirt?"

"Don't ask. Just don't ask."

Annabeth groaned audibly as she looked between the two of us. "We don't have time for this." she slid the dagger she had been clutching back up her shirt sleeve as she turned towards my half-blood counterpart. "Percy, before we do anything. I need to know where you found him."

She gestured over to the other guy that had entered the ally with Percy. I glanced over and was immediately taken aback. He was muscled out and extremely tall. Bordering on unnatural for a human of what I assumed to be Percy's age. I tried to look up at his face, but I didn't seem to get a good picture. Maybe it was the darkness of the alley or the hair falling in front of it, but I just couldn't get a good image.
