Y/n's POV

Percy was staring at the waves when Annabeth, Tyson, and I found him.

"What's going on?" Annabeth asked. "I heard you calling for help!"

"Me, too!" Tyson said. "Heard you yell, 'Bad things are attacking!'"

"What's happening Percy?" I asked.

"Nothing's happening and I didn't call you guys," he said. "I'm fine."

"But then who . . ." Annabeth and I then noticed three yellow duffel bags beside Percy. As well as a thermos and a bottle of vitamins he was holding.

"Uh did you plan on going camping Percy?"

He sighed, "Just listen, there's not much time."

He then told us about his conversation with Hermes, by the the time he was finished. I could hear screeching in the distance-patrol harpies picking up our scent.

"Oh shoot."

Annabeth hastily turned back towards Percy, speaking with just as much urgency. "Percy, we have to do the quest."

"We'll get expelled, you know. Trust me, I'm an expert at getting expelled."

"So? If we fail there won't be any camp to come back to."

Percy looked between the two of us. "But you both promised Chiron-"

"Promised we'd keep you from danger. Which we can only do by coming with you!"

I nodded, "Besides if we come back with the fleece. Then we get to rub it all over that Minotaur piece of cow dung Tantalus."

Percy smirked. "Well then what are we waiting for?"

"All right," she said. "How do we get to that ship?" Annabeth gestured out to a cruise ship floating in the water a few miles out.

"Hemes said my father would help."

"Well then, Seaweed Brain? What are you waiting for?"

I turned towards Percy trying to give him an encouraging look. "You've got it man."

He nodded in appreciation. Before taking a deep breath as he stepped into the water. Standing there awkwardly unsure what to do.

"Uh, how do I do this exactly?"

"Ask your dad for help." Annabeth answered.

"Feel the waves, water bending style." I added.

He sighed before turning back towards the water. "Um, Dad?" he called. "How's it going?"

"Percy!" Annabeth said. "We're in a hurry!"

"We need your help," he called a little louder. "We need to get to that ship, like, before we get eaten and stuff, so . . ."

At first, nothing happened. Waves crashed against the shore like normal. The harpies sounded like they were right behind the sand dunes. Then, about a hundred yards out to sea, three white lines appeared on the surface. They moved fast towards the shore, like claws ripping through the ocean.

As they neared the beach, the surf burst apart and the heads of three white stallions reared out of the waves.

Tyson caught his breath. "Fish ponies!"

He was right. As the creatures pulled themselves onto the sand, I saw that they were only horses in the front; their back halves were silvery fish bodies, with glistening scales and rainbow tail fins.

"What the-"

"Hippocampi!" Annabeth said, "They're beautiful."

The nearest one whinnied in appreciation and nuzzled Annabeth.
