DanicaLynn Beauty- September 8th

I arrived at my dorm, overjoyed to be sharing a room. At home, I don't share a room, and my room is huge-it's too spaced out. Everything is at home. Sharing a dorm will be like having one long never-ending sleepover!

I went to put my key in and unlock the door, but it was already unlocked. My roommate must already be here. Her name is Rose, and I love roses, so I just know she's going to be fableous! I lightly pushed the door open and found that the room was painted hot pink- my favorite color ever. EEEEYYAAAAYYYYY!!!

"Hello? DanicaLynn?" A voice called from inside the room. A person I'm assuming was Rose stepped into view. She was wearing an outfit almost identical to mine, except with navy blue accessories instead of black.

"Whoa..." I said, walking towards Rose.

"Oh my gosh! We look so similar!"

"This is so... SPELLBINDING!"

Aside from my freckles and the fact that Rose had navy blue streaks in her hair instead of hot pink, we looked really similar. Our faces were a little different, and Rose was only a little more pale, but other than that, we could pass for sisters.

"Hey," I started, "I think this could be the start of a beautiful friendship."

"Do you like shopping?" She asked.

"More than I love myself," I answered.

"SAAAAME!"

"Okay, I'm gonna put my clothes away, and then we have to go shopping!" I squealed, always hexcited for a day of shopping.

A little while later, Rose and I arrived at the Book End Mall.

"So, Rose, I noticed your last name was Prince. I know it doesn't really matter anymore, but who are your parents?" I asked, just because I was wondering.

"Well, okay. This is probably gonna sound weird to you, being Sleeping Beauty's daughter and all, but my dad was supposed to be the next Prince for Sleeping Beauty, and my mom is the Dark Fairy. Kinda crazy, but I've never really thought of my mom as evil," Rose explained.

"No, I totally get it. My dad's actually the Frog Prince," I laughed.

"Wow, I wouldn't have expected that!"

"Yeah, I look just like my mom, except I have freckles like my dad does," I said, turning into Abercrownbie & Fitch.

Rose and I instantly went over to a rack of rosy pink dresses.

"Do you have any siblings?" I asked next.

"No, do you?" Rose selected a dress off the rack that was size small.

"Yeah, I have a twin brother. His name is Zeke." My brother Zeke is a little weird. He likes pranks, stunts, and jokes. I like trying new and exciting things too, but not if I know I'm going to get injured... That's never stopped Zeke before...

"I think I've seen him, does he have, like, auburn-ish hair and freckles like you?"

"Yup, that's him," I picked up a black lace skirt, "what do you think of this?"

"Ooh, I love that! Pick up one for me!"

It was off to the dressing room a few minutes later with an armful of clothes each. We left the store with heavy bags and half-empty wallets.

We shopped around a few more stores and then went to the Food Crown for a snack.

"Can I ask you something?" Rose asked, swallowing a bite of her sandwich.

I pushed a fry around on my tray. "Sure."

"What destiny do you hope to get?"

I wrapped my lips around the straw but didn't take a sip yet, thinking. Then I took a drink of the sweet soda. "I was actually thinking Sleeping Beauty, since it runs in my family, but I guess I don't really care as long as it's an okay destiny."

"Actually, me too... But that's weird, isn't it..." Rose said, more as a thought than a question.

And suddenly, a secret welled up in my stomach. I realized. Rose Prince was the child of my mom's "enemies"- the ones she was bitter towards ever since Prince Julian, presumably Rose's dad, had dated her for a while, then broke up with her and started dating Faybelle Thorn, Rose's mom (THE DARK FAIRY TOO) a few hours later. Rose clearly didn't know any of this.

I'm not willing to jeopardize this friendship so soon... So I can't tell Rose about any of this. I don't want her to think I don't want to be her friend since my mom hates her family. I don't want there to be anything weird between us. So this secret will stay a secret.

We were silent for a while before agreeing to return to the school. I couldn't wait to take a shower, in hopes that it would wash away the guilty secret I'd realized in the mall before.

I also really wanted to tell somebody about this, but I knew my good friend Cheyenne would think it isn't something to be worry about (ugh, she's such a carefree hippie), and I definitely couldn't call my parents and tell them. I just left them, I don't need them controlling every aspect of my life while I'm at boarding school too. And I most definitely am not talking to my brother about this.

All there was to do now is relax and calm myself down. I know the perfect way- arrange a beach picnic dinner on the shore of the Royal River, on the very edge of the EAH campus. Just like my mom, parties are how I chill.

Oh, and I'll just need to invite everyone in my grade.
