A/N: I just wanna start this little note off by saying thank you for 44 reads! It means a lot! I'm sorry I couldn't update this sooner. My break was over and I wanted to take a 1 day break off writing because I didn't know if I would get any homework or not. But thankfully, I didn't!! Enjoy the story!! <33
Edmund's POV
I quickly got up at the sight of her, her tall pale frame, her curly black hair, she looked just like the white witch– Except her theme was black–
I rushed to get my sword next to me and hurriedly pulled it out, holding it in one hand while the other arm was in front of Y/N.
"STAY AWAY FROM HER!" I yelled, her face seeming emotionless as I looked next to me, too look at Y/N. She seemed nervous, scared, confused. A sudden wash of protectiveness washed over me when I saw the state of her. I looked back towards The Black Witch, but.. She wasn't there?
I felt confused as the state of protectiveness washed away as I put the sword. I slowly looked towards Y/N, who also seemed confused.
"Did.. Did you also see the tall pale woman..?" I asked her, making sure I wasn't going crazy.
"Yeah.." She replied, "I did" confirming I wasn't going crazy. I looked to where the woman previously was then back to Y/N.
"Did you happen to see where she went?" I asked her, my tone gentle.
"No," She replied "I blinked and.. She was gone.." She told me, leaving the both of us even more confused.
So, we know what The Witch looks like, but now what?? It's not like that can help. We aren't sure what she can do. I thought about everything, processing it all.
"Ed.." Y/N asked, "What's.. What's that..?" She asked, pointing to the floor, I looked over and saw a letter.
I slowly got up from the bed to pick up the letter.
What is this?!?
I couldn't understand anything in the letter. All the letters were jumbled and smudged.
"I think I should let Peter know about this." I told Y/N.
"WAIT-" Y/N called, my attention now towards her. "Just..Don't leave me alone.. I'm scared." She requested. I looked at the door, then at her, then at the door again, then at her again.
"I can get a guard-" I stopped in my words. I knew the right thing to do was to go get a guard to guard her while I notified Peter.. But when I saw the vulnerableness and fear in Y/N's eyes, it drew a sense of protectiveness over me.
"Alright," I forfeited, walking towards Y/N, "But first thing tomorrow I need to notify Peter." I told her and she nodded.
I got in bed with her, my sword next to me as we both laid down in bed.
I put my arm over her for a little bit, giving her a sense of comfort and protection. "It's gonna be alright, I promise." I promised her.
"I know," She said, "I trust you."
Those words.
"I trust you."
Those words echoed in my head. Having a sense of protectiveness washed over me. If she trusts me, then I need to make sure not to break her trust.
Those words also sparked a realization of something. The vulnerability of the situation. We were in the same bed. Causing my stomach to feel weird.
I slowly pulled away and laid on my back, staring at the ceiling, leaving distance between me and her. I just want her to feel comfortable with me. I can't risk anything.
We both laid there, in silence. Not awkward silence. Sweet silence. In my thoughts, I realized something. Peter saved my little relationship with Y/N. I definitely owe him one for that.
Then another realization sparked. We aren't in a relationship..Yet..?? Neither of us have explicitly said anything about a relationship. We kinda just.. Went along with it? All we know is that we like each other.
My train of thoughts was interrupted when Y/N playfully touched my hand before quickly pulling away. I hesitated but did the same, and she did the same back, resulting in a playfight.
"Stop that-" She giggled.
The playfight resulted in an..Interesting position!! I'm still confused on how we ended up in that position.
I looked down at her as realization hit me. I was hovering over her, my hands pinning her wrists into the mattress, my heart began to beat fast and my stomach began to feel weird.
"Y/N.." I said, breaking the silence as she hummed in response. "What..What are we?" I asked her, my grip on her wrists loosening.
"I..Don't know??" She admitted, "I have never felt this way for anyone so..?"
"Yeah.." I agreed, "Me neither.." Before letting go of her wrists and laying next to her, again, pulling the blankets on top of the both of us.
"I just.. Thought I should..Ask..?" I told her.
"..Anyway.." She said, breaking the silence again. "What's gonna happen with The Black Witch?" She asked me.
"Well I have to notify Peter first and then the court will have a session." I told her, "But I promise you will be kept safe." I said to her in a comforting tone as I stroked a strand of her hair.
"Edmund.." She began, "Can we.. Finish what we started?" She asked. I knew exactly what she meant, but I had to make sure.
"What do you mean?" I asked her, "Do you mean the..Kiss?"
"Yeah.." She confirmed it with me.
I gently held her cheek while she held me neck as I leaned in to kiss her.
My first kiss..
"What?!" Peter exclaimed from confusion, "When!? How!? Where!?!" He began to question.
"I saw her in.." I hesitated for a moment, "In Y/N's room.. At around 9-10 pm."
"Oh.." Peter said "Well you couldn't have notified me a bit sooner?" He asked me, partly annoyed while looking down at the letter.
"Well-" I attempted to explain but Peter was quite anxious, and for good reason I must admit.
"Gather everyone. We need to be in session, now."
"Can't we-" I attempted to ask him if we can wait until after breakfast because I was currently starving and running on half of last night's dinner, but I got interrupted. I can't blame him though.
"I SAID NOW!" Peter said "AND HURRY." Before speed walking to the meeting room.
