I opened my eyes, my vision and my memories remaining foggy with an aftertaste of something..not exactly pleasant in my mouth..

I turned over and spat out the water from my mouth while coughing, making it a little easier to breathe as my vision and my memory cleared up. Then I looked up and saw a young girl, around 11, she had medium length straight brown hair with blue eyes, she was holding a bottle, which I assume was what caused the strange aftertaste "She's awake!" She said in a London accent.

"Lucy," I heard another voice say, which seemed to belong to an older boy with the same accent. "Give her some space". I looked up and it was an older boy with dirty blonde hair and bangs –which were wet, remaining as evidence of him probably saving my life– with blue eyes.

I slowly sat up, cold from my soaked dress as I saw 2 more people. A teenage girl, who had medium length wavy hair with blue eyes. And a boy around my age with black hair and bangs with brown eyes.

"Are you alright?" the girl with wavy hair spoke

I nodded in response. "Yeah," I began to speak, my voice a little raspy from both drowning and being cold "Thank you."

'Can my day get any weirder..?' I thought to myself. As the memories came flooding back

"Her clothes are soaked." I heard the younger boy with black hair, his bangs slightly swept to the side, say to the older one.

"Come on, then," I heard the older boy say "Lets get her inside and get her a change of clothes before she catches a cold"

I slowly got up with the help of..Lucy..? I guess her name was, and the older girl with wavy hair.

"What's your name?" I heard the younger one say with curiosity and excitement.

I was hesitant at first but decided to respond "Y/N. You're Lucy, I suppose?" I asked and she nodded in response.

"Lovely name" The older girl with wavy hair spoke to me "My name's Susan"

"Nice to meet you" I told her. But I just..knew there was something they weren't telling me..

"You as well," Susan told me. "Come with me, lets get you out of those clothes"

As I followed her, I had so many questions, "why do they live in a..castle..or whatever the heck this is..They aren't royal, are they?"

I got changed into a casual, yet formal dress that susan gave me "Thank you" I thanked her, she's really kind, they all are.

"It's my pleasure," She said "No need to thank me" As I nodded in response

"If you don't mind me asking.." She began "How did you end up in Narnia..?" She questioned.. Probably knowing I wasn't from here judging from my voice not having a British accent

"Narnia..?" I thought "So that's what this place is called"

"Well.." I began "It's..kinda a long story really.." I said to her, not knowing exactly how to explain what happened.

Suddenly, the younger boy with black bangs neatly swept to the side came in and knocked on the open door. "Susan," He said "They need you two down stairs."

"I'll be right there, Ed." She replied to him before he nodded and left after glancing at me.. I feel..weird about him..And I don't know how to explain it, and I'm not sure if I like it..

"Come on then" She told me "Let's make yourself at home here." While signalling to the door as I walked with her down the halls.

"So.." I began "If you don't mind me asking..Why do you guys live in a castle..? You guys aren't royalty..are you?" I didn't want to ask as I didn't want to be rude.. But curiosity seriously got the best of me.

She stayed silent for a bit. "Well.." she began "We actually are royal"

With that I felt a pit in my stomach. I wasn't as formal as I should have been.. I guess that's what I sensed that they were not telling me as the feeling faded.

"You are..?" I said, a bit shocked, pinching myself again to see if it was a dream..Nope..It's real.
"But..why wouldn't you say something..?" I asked, confused on why they would keep something like that a secret

"Because, we wanted you to feel comfortable with us" She explained to me with a sincere, kind, and gentle voice. "Not like you are walking on eggshells all the time, besides, we only got crowned a few years ago"

I nodded in response "I see.." I began "That makes sense..I guess"

When we got downstairs, I bowed to the others, trying to be respectful and formal as possible, but either way they didn't seem to care to be honest.

I found myself having dinner with them a little bit later. I tried my hardest to be polite, but for goodness sake, I could eat a horse as of right now.

While the others chatted, I stayed quiet and observed everything, learning their names and that they were siblings and were all kings and queens, which confused me at first, but I got used to it later on.

After dinner, in which I stayed quiet unless they spoke to me, I heard..Peter..?? ( I think that's what his name is atleast) Speak to Susan

"Can you take y/n to her room for me while I take care of some stuff?" He asked her and she nodded in response.

She turned to me "Come on, y/n," She said gently with a smile on her face as I nodded and followed her.

As we walked through the halls, she was very friendly with me.. Now that I think about it, everyone was. Which was something I wasn't used to.

"You can stay with us as long as you like," She said to me "Even if you choose to live with us, then that's fine as well" She spoke while smiling at me and I nodded in response.

"Thank you," I thanked her while bowing to her "your guy's hospitality truly means a lot towards me." I said with a smile.

"It's our pleasure." She spoke gently. "Well then, you should get to bed. You must be tired. If you need anything, a servant will assist you." She told me and I nodded before thanking her again as she walked out the door.

"This can't NOT be a dream at this point." I thought to myself before pinching myself hard, proving my own thoughts wrong.

I got in bed, I tried to rest, but I couldn't. I shifted and turned. I tried to think of scenarios..but all I could think about was.. Edmund..? I think that's his name from what I overheard.

I began to feel..strange again.. Which gave me so many questions..
" Why do I feel this way? What is this feeling? What is my unconscious trying to tell me? Is this negative? Do I like this feeling or not?"

Those questions flooded my mind, until I accepted I couldn't sleep. I slowly got up and decided to do something stupid, and walk around quietly until I got tired.

I got up slowly, putting on the slippers placed by the bed and began to walk.. How is this not a dream..? It seems too..good..?

I'm not sure how much time passed from me walking around when I heard a familiar voice.

"Hey," I turned, it was him..Edmund..Shoot..here comes that feeling again.. "Are you alright..?"

I looked up at him.. Why is my heart beating fast?

"Yeah," I responded, "I'm fine! Just..having trouble sleeping.." I told him

"Been there before." He said to me, "Do you need company..?" He asked, trying to be nice.

"Um..yeah.." I accepted his offer, making my heart feel..weird.. "I'd like that." I smiled

We sat on a step on the stairs and just..chatted. I don't even know what about.. We just did. I like his humor, it's interesting.. Well..He's interesting.. And.. This feeling in my stomach, in my chest is interesting.

Goodness knows how much time has passed when I began to finally feel tired, making me realize that it is beginning to be late.

"I should get some sleep." I told him while getting up and adjusting my dress

"You're right," he agreed while getting up after me, "Me as well.. Well, goodnight then" He told me before walking into his room and closing the door behind him. While I made my way to my room again, that strange feeling lingering in my stomach and my chest..but..I no longer seem to mind it..Whatever this feeling is.
