A/N: Honestly y'all can just skip this chapter im not proud of it and it doesn't help with the plot. But you can if you want, it's short anyway.

Edmund's Pov

Peter took out his sword before handing it to Y/n.

"Thank you, your majesty." She said to him before turning to me.

While she tried to figure out how to hold the sword, I helped her with the position of her hands, her legs, etc.

"Like this?" She asked, confused. I have to admit, she looks..beautiful like this..In a dress, her face confused in an adorable way, wind blowing through her hair, her skin glowing in the sunlight..It made me feel like nothing else mattered, that my siblings were not just standing around watching us for fun.

"Yeah," I replied "Just..like that." I love the way her hands are just so gentle while holding the sword.

The sounds of the swords clanging and hitting each other, the sounds of the grass crunching, the sight of us playfully sword fighting in an attempt to actually teach her something.. It makes me feel..

Nice..??

While I was lost in thought, I accidentally grazed the side of y/n's face, right next to her eye.

"AH" She groaned as I dropped my sword, running to her as my siblings got on high alert.

"Am I bleeding a lot?" She asked me, closing her right eye.

"No," I replied "You aren't.. Here let me-"

My thumb met the cut as I wiped the small drop of blood, cradling and caressing her face as we made..intense eye contact. It made it feel as if time slowed down. Like it was just us two in the world. My heart skipped beats. I felt like I needed to protect her from all harm.

Suddenly this feeling stopped when Peter, Susan, and Lucy ran over to us.

"Are you alright?" Susan asked Y/n as I gently removed my hand from her face

"I'm fine, really." Y/n replied, "It is just a scratch, I'm not blind, I think?"

After that Susan gave her a band aid and the others went off to do their other things in the garden, hanging out with each other, while me and Y/n just sat on the grass and talked about swords rather than using them. I wanna teach her about it, yes.

But I don't want to ever risk hurting her.

"So, you kinda just, go like that?" She asked me while imitating a movement with her hands, pretending to hold a sword.

"Yeah," I replied "You gotta really be on high alert with this kind of stuff." I told her.

"Hey, Ed," She began as I hummed in response, I loved it when she called me that. It made my heart flutter and my stomach turn."Why did you stop the actual sword fight thing? Like wouldn't hands-on learning be helpful? Just wondering."

"Well, you aren't wrong, but I don't ever want to risk hurting you" I told her, not thinking about what to say beforehand. I only noticed until after, when she fell silent and she seemed.. Nervous..?

'I didn't make her uncomfortable, did I?' I thought to myself, feeling heat rise to my face.

"Sorry..Was that weird..?" I asked, crossing my fingers, hoping she wasn't uncomfortable from my little comment as that obviously wasn't my intention.

"No," She replied "Not at all.." I could tell there was something she wasn't telling me. She looked nervous and..Flustered..?

"Well.." I began but our interaction was interrupted when Peter came from around the corner.

"Ed," He called as my head turned to him, on high alert "We're in session right now, it's quite important" He notified me and I nodded in response while realizing that Susan and Lucy already were inside.

"I'll be right there, Pete." I replied to him and he nodded before walking back inside from the garden.

I got up with Y/n from the grass. "Well.." I said "I should get going.. We can.. I can teach you more..Later..? Like in my room?" I offered, for some reason I really hoped she would accept my offer. So I can have an excuse to hang out with her more often, See her more often, look at her more often. Be with her more often.. Or is that a creepy way to think?

"Yeah," She said, "I'd like that." She accepted my offer while smiling at me. Thank goodness.

"Well.. I should..Go..I'll see you tonight?" I told her and she nodded, that's when wind hit the both of us and a strand of hair flew in her face.

"Here, let me-" I said while taking the strand with my finger and tucking it behind her ear, caressing her jawline and her ear while doing so as we made eye contact. Making it feel like time slowed down, my heart skipped beats, my head felt blank.

"W-well.." Y/n stammered, breaking the silence, "I hope the session's fun for you" She told me in a playful tone as we walked inside.

"Well it certainly won't be," I joked, having a playful smile on my face. "But I appreciate you wishing me luck" As she laughed at my joke, playfully hitting my shoulder as we split up.

Long story short, the session was important, very important, but it was one of the most boring things I've ever had to sit through.

After the session, I was alone with Peter when he suddenly decided to talk to me about..Something..

"So," He began, " You and y/n? How's that going?" He asked me in a teasing tone, a playful smile painting on his face while I felt heat rise to mine.

"It's nothing" I denied, knowing I was lying about my own feelings to him, "We're just friends." I lied more as more and more heat rose to my face.

"You sure?" He teasingly asked again, "I don't look at my friends that way." He teased me more as I certainly tried not to smile.

"Oh shut up" I said, attempting to shut him up, knowing with every cell inside me that he wasn't wrong as I looked down, pretending to do something to hide my face in front of my older brother. I definitely had feelings for her myself, but.. I'm not sure about her having feelings for me.. Why would she like ME after all?
