Chapter 13: Happy Holidays

The next morning we went back to our cottages and let everyone chill for a while before the next activity. Christmas was coming soon so Chiaki and I wanted to have a celebration. We had done some research before the trip and found an area of a park that was rentable. We were able to book it for Christmas Day and decided to survey it. We able to find a stage and decorations so we decided to ask the class for to set it up. We ended up creating different committees for the party and I was head of decorations.  I ended up putting a huge Christmas tree and found these beautiful garlands everywhere. Then everyone else decoration committee found regular party supplies and spread it out. Most of the class helped with building the stage though the bulk of it was Nidai and Akane.

The night came and the party was going. Everyone was having a great time. I made something for Gundham since it was our first Christmas as a couple. I was able to get him some sunflower seeds for the hamsters and I also got him these cute earrings with paw prints on them. I was really hoping he'd appreciate it.

I was hanging out with Nanami and Peko while we dancing to the music Ibuki was playing while Sonia tried to copy Saionji's movements. Peko and Nanami and we were having a blast. I saw Gundham talking to Nidai and smiled. Soda was cheering Sonia on as she slowly got used to the traditional dance moves. Everyone was having a great time and Nanami decided to get her cameras so we could film everything.

I went and found Gundham so we could do our exchange. We were able to isolate ourselves for a moment and we got out our wrapped presents.

"Are you ready?" I asked with some excitement.

"I believe you will be most pleased with my gift, my queen."

We swapped gifts and opened them. I opened the fairly large box and inside was a book full of clear sheets to put papers in. I opened it and the first few pages were photos we had taken on the trip like the one in the hotel room or on the mountain. I smiled and kept turning pages. He had left most of it blank, probably to add more photos, but I saw near the end he had put photos of us since the start of our relationship. It was so sweet.

"Thank you, Gundham. I love them." I smiled as I looked up at him.

He looked my gift and smiled.

"A gift from a goddess. Truly, these must be blessed with good fortune."

I giggled a little bit and put my hands out for a hug before I hesitated. He noticed and gave me a shy look. I closed my eyes in embarrassment before I felt him pull me into a soft hug. It was warm.

Eventually, Nanami came back with a camera and called me up onto the stage. Then Ibuki gave her a triangle and decided that her, Nanami, and Saionji were going to rock out. I was on stage so I was fine, but everyone who wasn't as on the floor by the end of it. Ibuki was super pumped and I took a shot of the moment.

The night seemed perfect until it started to rain. Then it was a big race to get everything inside. Nidai grabbed the Christmas tree while Teruteru, Akane, and Mitarai grabbed the food. We set up everything inside and kept the party going.

"So, you having a good time?"

"It is an excellent party, but I'd rather just spend time with my queen." He said, arms crossed against his chest.

"I really appreciate the photo album. It was such a sweet gesture."

He smiled at me then said, "How would you like to join me on my morning patrol around the island tomorrow?"

"I didn't know you walked around the island everyday." I said with some surprise.

"I have to. To ensure that there are no evil demons that can break through the barrier I've set around the island."

"Well, I suppose as a goddess, I shall accompany you on your patrol of the island tomorrow. I will also bring with me a basket of goodies, in case we become peckish." I jokingly suggested.

Our sweet conversation was interrupted by a loud crash. Once again, Mikan had fallen into a lewd position, but into a storage closet. After further inspection, Saionji found a sexy Santa costume.

After some bullying, she convinced (forced) Mikan to try it on. This prompted Saionji to gather everyone for a group picture.

All the girls were pushed towards the front while the guys tried to pose in the back. However, one of Gundham's hamster jumped away at the last second. I watched with Mahiru as she snapped the shot and all hell broke loose.

A/N- Hey guys, if you couldn't tell, this was supposed to be posted before the New Year. But to my greatest misfortune, I was hit by a bus. I have recovered but then my dog ran over my car. Fortunately, I am back to writing . Hope yall enjoying the story - Co-Author
