Ariana's P.O.V.

I opened the door so I could go for an evening walk around the town. It was a beautiful day outside and I wanted to get some fresh air. As soon as I opened the door, I breathed in and already felt soothed by the smell of nature.

I was stressed out about Nathan and him hurting me again so I just needed to get out of the house and like I said, get some fresh air. I started walking down the sidewalk and decided on walking for at least 30 minutes.

I started walking by the abandoned house, that's what we called it. The house burned down years ago and no one wanted to do anything with it, so they left it like that. It still had an inside, but it was destroyed. As I walked past it, I heard a noise.

I stopped in my tracks and turned my head towards the abandoned house. "Pssst!"
I was always a curious girl, so I followed the sound of the noise. It led up to the abandoned house door. Creaking the door open, I saw a person on a chair with his hands tied behind his back and his feet taped onto the floor.

I got a better look by going closer and my mouth dropped open when I realized who it was. Nathan. "Nathan?" I nervously whispered. "Why are you tied up in here?" I ripped the tape off of his face and he gritted his teeth in pain.

"Ariana? You're not going to believe this, but I have a twin brother named Neal. He pretended to be me and made you do some crazy thing involving stealing money right?" He whispered back.

"Are you serious?" I said. "Yes. And Ariana?" He asked. "What?" I whispered. "I'm sorry for being such a douche bag to you. Do you think we could be friends?" He replied looking up at me into my eyes. I looked away and thought for a minute. Maybe he will change. It wasn't him who kidnapped me, it was his brother. I just have to remember that. I nodded and gently untied his arms and then pulled the tape off of his feet.

He hugged me gently and put his hand out.
"Friends?" I shook it and replied back. "Friends."
"Okay. Now, we need to go find my brother."

I crinkled my nose and said, "How about, you find your brother and I'll go back home and watch Netflix." He smiled. "Okay. I know where he will be hiding anyways."

I walked home and decided to get a bubble bath. I started the water and put it on warm, then dumped soap into the bath. After changing out of my clothes, I put on some soft music and lit some candles, then got into the bubble bath. It felt so relaxing and helped me calm down.

Life was good. Once Nathan finds Neal, everything will be perfect. All I have to do is return the presidents money. They'll change the records back once they get Neal and his friends in jail. Nice try Neal, but better luck next time.

After an hour of soaking in the bath, I got out and dried myself with a towel, changed into my most comfortable pajamas, and brushed my teeth.

Then, I went to bed peacefully. When I woke up, I had a text message from Nathan.

"I caught Neal. He's in jail now, along with his friends." I smiled and texted back saying, "Great."

I finally payed the president back, he asked me why I was paying him so much, and I simply said, you're a great man and deserve this. Don't spend it all in one place. We laughed and shook hands.

Me and Jai were still dating, he showed me that he changed. He was a great person now. Lexie was still my bestest friend, always being there for me no matter what. The most important thing was my family. These people helped me get over my broken heart. A broken heart can be healed. Even if the person who broke it, heals it.

A/N: Well, that's it. That was the last chapter. 😊 I may write a sequel, but I doubt it. The reason I ended this book, and my other book (Too Good To Be True) was because I want to focus on the series I'm writing with my friend. It's called The Loose Floorboard series. Make sure to check out my page and check out the book. Thank you all so much for reading and getting me so many reads/votes. It means a lot! Until next time. -LiveLaughAriana 💜
