A Broken Heart

Chapter 7

I woke up to Coco licking my face. I smiled and pet Coco. Then I got up and made my bed. It was a white bed with ruffles. I sighed and looked out the window, sitting on my light pink window seat. It was a beautiful warm spring day. I rose from my window seat and got ready for my morning. It was Wednesday but we didn't have school tomorrow because it was Spring Break. After I got ready I got into my car and drove to school. Today I was wearing a white crop top and pink skirt. My hair was down. As I got into school, someone pulled me into a closet. I tried screaming but nothing came out. I widened my eyes when I saw who it was. Jai Brooks.

"Jai!" I yelled. He smiled and tried kissing me. I pushed him away and screamed "I don't love you! You're horrible! Leave me alone!" His eyes were frightening. "If you won't take me back, I'll have to tell everyone YOU cheated on me with that stupid boy Nathan!" He spat in my face. He kicked me and punched my cheek. Tears filled my eyes. "You're so immature!" I cried. "Please just leave me alone!" I bursted out of the closet and ran out of school. I missed 5 days already this semester and it just started 2 weeks ago. Tears filled my eyes as I walked back into school. I can't miss anymore days. I walked to the bathroom and went into one of the stalls. My head was aching so I took a pill and washed my face off. I won't let him hurt me AGAIN. I saw Nathan walking in the hall so I ran to him and hugged him. "Hi Ari!" He said smiling and hugging me back. "Hi Nathan." I said. "What's wrong?" He asked me. "Jai." I said looking down. "What did that retard do now?" He said angrily. "He locked me in a closet and tried kissing me. He threatened me if I don't take him back he will tell everyone I cheated on him!" I bursted out crying. "Shhh" He said soothingly. He hugged me and I looked up at him. "Ari did he hurt you?" He asked. "Oh um-.. He punched my cheek and kicked my leg." I said trying not to limp. "Oh Ari." Nathan said. He gently picked me up and took me to my car, driving me home. "Stop Nathan. I need to stay at school! I missed too many days!" I cried. "Ariana, you are hurt! You can't go to school!" He said. "But!-.." He looked at me and frowned. "No buts" he argued. I sighed and looked out the window. Once we got to my house he parked my car in the garage and carried me to my room. Then he got me a ice pack and bandages. "Ari are you still busy this weekend?" he said quietly. "No just rehearsal for Sam & Cat on Sunday at 3." I said. "Oh well are we still on for Saturday?" he asked. "At the movies?" I squealed in delight and nodded. "Yes!" I cried "I really wanted to see that movie!" He grinned and hugged me. "I have to get back to school. Will you be alright home alone?" I nodded and looked at my phone. 10:30. Before I knew it, Nathan kissed me softly on the lips. I widened my eyes and kissed him back. He left without saying anything. I smiled and decided to walk Coco, Ophelia, and Toulouse. After all, it is a nice day out.
