Hee Joo stayed in the hospital for two more days before asking to be discharged.

Although her body was still aching, she had no fractures. She was really bored being trapped in the hospital.

‘Actually it’s because…’

Ever since the threatening phone call became strange, she had been feeling uncomfortable as if a stone was pressing down on her heart.

“Is that all the luggage?”

Baek Sa-eon asked as he carried her bag.

He was not happy with her early discharge, but after reading the message from Hee Joo that “I feel bad and it’s too lonely to be alone”, his attitude suddenly changed.

He knew it too.

During her hospitalization, no family member came to see her.

“Rest well after you go home. I’ll be back as soon as possible.”

“……!”

Where to?

Hee Joo stared at him nervously, and he added casually.

“Grandpa’s memorial day.”

‘Oh…’

Hee Joo’s eyes widened instantly.

The memorial day of the late Baek Jang Ho.

The great man who “did everything except being the president”.

He was Baek Sa-eon’s grandfather, and he was called the “Crown Prince” since he was a child.

Since he entered the Blue House, he would only go home on this day as an exception.

Every time Baek Sa-eon attended the family gathering as the eldest grandson, he would be captured by the camera.

A prominent family is not established in one generation.

The first generation served as vice president and laid the foundation of the family. The second generation became a political giant.

The third generation was elected to the National Assembly four times and became the most powerful presidential candidate. Then came the fourth generation, the young and promising Baek Sa-eon.

‘I want to go too.’

Hee Joo sent such a message, and the man raised his eyebrows.

Although she was the wife of the eldest grandson, she had never participated in the family sacrifice. Or, to be precise, she “could not” participate.

Every time she looked at Baek Sa-eon’s back who had to leave, she felt that she was not really accepted.

[6:09 pm] I don’t want to be alone at home.

But this time, she decided to stick to her own opinion.

‘But I think he will agree.’

After countless phone calls over the years, she has understood him.

Whether it is out of a sense of responsibility as a legal wife, or because of childhood affection, or just sympathy.
Although it was hard to accurately describe his attitude towards her, he was not as cold as he seemed. He was actually paying attention to her silently.

"If you don't want to be alone--."

The eyes that were quietly watching her made her feel uneasy. She frowned, then regained her composure, still unable to fathom his inner thoughts.
