"If you inherit the sacrifice in the future, you have to do these things, otherwise where will the family's face be?"

"I don't plan to inherit."

"What?"

"Sacrifice, I won't take over."

Such a decisive statement made the air freeze for a moment.

"Then, what do you mean? If you don't take over the sacrifice, who will do it? You are the eldest grandson, and you should inherit it."

Although Hee-joo seemed like an outsider, she never missed any conversation. Relatives always tried to pull her in.

"If you want to inherit the property, you have to take over the sacrifice!"

"Then let my uncle take over."

"What?"

"If I inherit it, I will abolish the sacrifice in this generation."

"What are you saying...?!"

"So those who want to sacrifice should take it over themselves."

Baek Sa-eon looked around at the stunned relatives, as if announcing the results of the auction.

Cold silence enveloped the entire mansion.

The mother-in-law just shrugged and looked at this side with interest.

"You didn't ask me to do it myself, why are you pushing these things to my wife? I didn't get married to cook for the dead."

"......!"

"Those who want to get something for nothing will not be blessed by the ancestors."

His sharp words made Hee-joo feel a little embarrassed. The biting air touched her skin like static electricity.

"What? The dead?!"

The uncle, with a red face, raised his voice.

"You uneducated thing...! If it weren't for your father's protection, it would take at least ten more years for everyone to get promoted or elected!"

"Yes, it seems so."

"But what did you say? The dead?!"

"Are they still alive?"

Baek Sa-eon had a blank expression.

"Respecting the ancestors and letting my wife suffer are two different things. I won't do such a stupid thing."

"You, you...!"

"I can't even cook for my wife, and I still expect her..."

He smacked his lips heavily.

His hands, entangled like chains, seemed heavy and powerful. Hee-joo's heartbeat accelerated because of her husband's stand, but her face was expressionless.

"If you want the family to be stronger than it is now, please discipline your children. I've heard a lot of those things."

"Hmph...!"

Words could not suppress him, so he turned his spearhead to Hee-joo. "So, the family needs to find a good daughter-in-law...!"

Baek Sa-eon sneered.

"Since sacrifice is so important, why do you look at the other party's property first when looking for daughters-in-law for your two sons? If you just prepare meals for ghosts and gods after marriage, just find a witch."

"You damn kid...!"

The flesh of the uncle's chin trembled constantly.

Hee-joo couldn't bear it and pulled his hand. Baek Sa-eon raised his eyebrows and closed his mouth.
