|Chapter 6|
We pulled up to the theater and he didn't let me get out on my own, he opened my door and helped me out. It felt like I had known him forever, holding his hand, sitting so close, talking all of it felt so natural with him. Caden held onto me the whole time from when we got out of the car to when we got in. I had never met a guy who was as nice and sweet as him. I offered to pay for my ticket, but he insisted on buying it because it was a date.
We sat at the top row and we still stayed close, he put the armrest up and he pulled me close and held my hand. Whenever I would jump he would squeeze my hand and laugh a little, I put my face in his chest when I was scared and he held on tighter. The movie was over and it wasn't late so we went to go get something to eat. We pulled over to a local diner that I go to a lot, they are basically my second family there. We stayed at the diner talking for a while until they had to close up.
Caden stopped me in the parking lot and turned on his car stereo and he made me dance with him, not sloppy dancing but kind of slow dancing in ways. We danced until everyone left the diner and it was getting dark and cold. I think he could tell while we dancing because he took off his jacket and put it on me. My mom was asleep by now so I had all the time to spend.
"Hey Caden, unless you have to be home we can drive for a little." I said in a low whisper because he had me up my his ear. We got in the car and he pointed to the glove box for me to open it, I opened it and it was full of cd's I picked my favorite Green Day album.
"You like Green Day??" He asked with excitement.
"Yeah they have great sound and the lyrics really mean something."
"They helped me with a lot." He cleared his throat after he said it.
"Do you mind me asking what?" I said very softly trying not to push.
"No its okay, in middle school people picked on me. I wasn't like I am now, I was scrawny and shy. I always had to sit alone because no one sat with me. I had done everything to better myself for me." I took his hand in both of mine.
"Caden i'm sorry I know how you feel in a way. It's okay now though?" I looked at him and in a way asked if I could move to the center.
"Yeah everything is okay now, come on." He reached his arm out and undid my seatbelt and pulled me over, I put the other one on. I started to tune into the music and started singing.
"You have an amazing voice Bella."
"Thank you Caden I always loved to sing." He kissed the top of my head as he intertwined our fingers for probably the fiftieth time tonight but that was okay.
