Task Four

Day four! I hope you guys found it as fun as I do to have created a playlist based on your story, and I hope it gives you some motivation to write and keeps those ideas flowing like it does for me!

For task three, I was looking for the playlist that I felt matched most to your summary of your story, was original, compelling, and cohesive. The top three entries of task three were:

Now, for task four we are back to the summaries, but only 2 more. For today, you will need to write another 150+ word summary describing your main character's relationship(s). I decided to stick with my main character, Medora, and choose her relationships with her best friend and her parents. You may choose one relationship to speak about, or multiple, but keep in mind what I'm looking for is detail, originality, and compelling stories:)

My example:
The friendship between Saija and Medora was far from immediate. Medora's extroverted and attention-commanding personality rarely intersected with Saija's quiet, unassuming presence. Their paths might have never crossed had Medora's natural charm and desire for admiration made her the perfect muse for all of Saija's journalism ambitions.
Their surface-level collaboration ended up blossoming into a deep, if not complicated bond. Saija became a steady source of insider information for Medora while staying out of the limelight herself. Yet, Saija's envious nature will always remind her of her own short-comings, overshadowed by Medora's effortless charisma. While Medora has a genuine appreciation for Saija's presence and sharp intellect, she will never understand Saija's internal struggle. Her well-meaning praise and encouragement is sometimes only seen as a highlight of the differences between the two.
Medora's relationship with her parents is nothing short of perfect- or at least, that's how it would appear to most. As the only child of a prestigious family in Icarra, Medora has never been treated like anything less than royalty. Together, they represent a picture perfect family, sharing freshly cooked meals every evening, giving unwavering support, and keeping no secrets from one another. Medora works hard to maintain the image of their perfect family, seeing their close-knit bond as both one of the highest blessings, and heaviest curses.
