A midnight walk

Part 1

The stars illuminated the sky that night and Kai and Jinora were taking a midnight stroll along the beach at Ember Island.

"I love the way the stars make the sky look like a sea of diamonds. "Jinora sighed as she looked up at the sky. Her hands in he strong clutches of Kai's hand he did not say anything just smiled which made jinora blush. After a few more moments of silence Kia said as he turnt jinora round "the stars aren't the only jewels out there" he took her close and was about to kiss her when "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" it was Jinoras father Tenzin his face was red with rage as if he was now regretting ever letting Kai join the air nation "daddy I can explain" jinora answered he was not listening he was staring at Kai then said "why are you out here?" his gaze had now turnt to his daughter how cleared her throat and said "um seen as I am 18 I believe I am aloud to go out with a boy I mean you and mother was about my age when she went out with you" once she had said that she realized the severity of her cheek "YOUNG LADY I FORBID YOU TO SEE KAI HE IS A BANDIT!" he was now as red as his robes "DADDY YOU CAN'T" tears were now rolling down here cheeks "yeah you cant I love jinora and nothing you can do can stop or break the way I feel about jinora " he took Jinoras hand and smiled at her "I Don't care come on jinora"

"No."Jinora squeezed Kai's hand and looked her dad straight in the eyes

"Jinora we are going now "

"I can't I don't have to listen to what you say any more."

"What why?"

"Tell him Kai"

"But he might blast me off..."

"JUST DO IT...for me"

"Ok...I want to ask you for Jioras hand in marriage."
