A BRIGHT MORNING

JINORA POV:
I blink letting the warm morning light adjust to my eyes, I take a deep breath rolling on to my side finding the side of the bed next to me empty, I slowly sit up still getting used to the morning light.

The door rattles open "morning sweetheart" mother says as she enters with a tray of tea, which she places down on the bedside table, she then sits next to me on the bed handing me a cup. I take a sip, "where did kai go?" I ask blowing on the tea as it is too hot.

"oh my dear don't you know that it is tradition that the groom is not to see the bride before they are married." she said . oh yeah that right I am getting married today, after all the fiasco I am glad, I just hope today will go along without too many mishaps. i smile and sip my tea in anticipation for the day ahed.

kai's pov:

8:30. in 2 hours i will be a husband to the most gorgeous woman in the world, i take a deep breath watching the birds cross across the morning sky.

i was wisked away to milos room as, accroding to pemma, "oh no my dear you must not see the bride before the wedding its bad luck". yeah not like we haven't had our fair share of that already. slowly, i walk over to my suit which is hung on the side of the wardrobe, i pick up the fabric between my fingers, i am so lost in my own world that i don't notice tenzin walk in the room.

"ah Tenzin!" i exclaim almost jumping out of my skin. He sets himself down on the bed,

"kai, promise to me that you will treat her right" he says fiddiling with his hands like a child who is about to get scolded. i walk over placing my hand on his shoulder, "i promise all her days will be bright as long as i am by her side" i smile. he looks at me, clears his through standing.

"well then, i also swear never to devil with your realtionship, however..." i gulp.

"if i hear one metion of word that you have broken her heart, i will make sure your heart no longer beats" he cold threatens walking out the room.

"damn what is his deal" i mutter, after all these years he is still no closer to properly trusting me. I shake it off grabbing my outift from the wardrobe.

******************************* TIME SKIP*********************************

jinora's pov:

"ikki put your hat on prpoperly" my mther yells adn ikki fidgets in her dress, i stifle a laugh.

"oh shut up jinora" she huffs at me. "at least you dont hvae to wear a stupid had, you are just marrying a stupid man"

"IKKI" mother scolds then turns to me rushign me behind the dress screen, "hurry my dear the wedding car will be here in a half hour." she expaims. before rushing off again to get herself ready.

Auntie kya helps he do up my dress, adjusting my hair so that not a single strand is out of palce, i step out from behind that screen. "your bride is ready" she proudly announces, everyone truns to look at me, mother had tears in her eyes. "wow sis you look amazing" milo says he genuinly seems amazed. "thank you"i say blushshng at their awe.

"well we can't stand around here all day we have a wedding to get to" my mother says whiping some tears from her eyes.

Kai's pov:
"are you nervous?" bolin teases nudging my shoudler i smile, "is it bad if i say yes" i joke, i take a deep breath in " but its a good nevrous."
More and more people start to filter in to the temple.
Wow this is starting to feel real I think.
Pemma's POV:
"Tenzin dear it's time to go" I announce slowly entering our room.
"Tenzin?" I say but there is no answer. Scanning the room my eyes fix into the small white envelope on the bed. Cautiously I go over to pick it up:
To jinora
It's tenzin's handwriting.
I have to open it!! "Tenzin?" I call again.....no reply. My heart immediately beings to race, right then the door slides open.
"Mum" I turn jinora is stood at the door, he smile fades as she scans down to the letter in my hands. "Mum what's that?" She asks moving toward me, I hold out the letter she takes it in both hands. "M-mum where is dad?" She stutters tears forming in her eyes.
Jinora's pov:
I open the letter 'oh dad what crazy this is it this time'
' my dearest Jinora,
In light of recent events I have decided to let you live your life without my restrictions. Try as I might, I will never accept kai for anything less than a bandit. So, I have taken the decision to leave, do not try to contact me. I cannot be forgiven for what I have done. Tell your mother and siblings I love them.
Love,
Dad.
Slowly, I close the letter. I can't stop the tears "dad."
