HE IS A GOOD KID....PROMISE!

pemma's pov: 

"Tenzin?" I ask down the corridor, he has been away with kai for quite a while, up to no good I bet. I sometimes wonder how he has declined into such a state of hate towards kai. He is a lovely boy, he truly cares for Jinora, it reminds me of Tenzin when he was courting me, so sweet, caring and.....

I hear a door open round the corner...strange, we never use that room. cautiously, I peek around the corner and see Tenzin appear out of the doorway, a tray of tea in this hand, I dip back behind the wall...how peculiar, Tenzin would never randomly have tea...he sees it as a social event, to be shared with all the family. I peek around the corner again he has walked the other way, wait..where us kai?

then it hits me, oh Tenzin what have you done. slowly, I edge towards the door, I slide it open, being weary to be as silent as I can. i squit my eyes as I open the door, I step in and gasp. kai is back out on the floor, a shattered teacup next to him, I put my hand over my mouth "oh kai my dear" I say kneeling next to him. he is semi-conscious. "pem-pemma?" he asks, I smile."yes dear how an earth did you..?" I help him slowly rise to sit.

"t-tenzin...in the tea...he.." he stutters, I pick up the remains of the cup sniffing it ...poison,oh Tenzin what have you done. kai flatters in and out of consciousness in my arms. "hey kai, stay with me I am going to get kya she will know what to do" I reassure him, at the same time trying to reassure myself, this kid is not dying...not on my watch. 

kya's pov: 

"sooo...getting married tomorrow?" I smile handing junior some tea, she is the spitting image of her mother, kind round eyes that could turn to anger just as quickly. 

"Yeah. I couldn't be more excited, yet I worry.." she looked down into her tea, I smile and place my hand on her shoulder, she looks up at me. "listen, kid, you have a strong one there, he hs survived all this world has thrown at him, and if Tenzin gets in the way....well I guess I will have to teach my little brother some manners" the door flys open, pemma enters her eyes wide. 

"pemma are you...." I start 

"kya I need your healing powers...this time Tenzin has gone too far" she explains what she has found.

"oh kai," Jinora says a glint of tears in her eyes. 

"jinora Hunny, stay here kai and I will get you in a bit...oh and if you see your father.... don't be scared to give him what for." I am stunned pemma is usually so gentle...oh Tenzin you have fucked up! 

Jinora's pov:

I stay sat in the main room, I can feel anger boiling up inside me, will my father never be satisfied until he has killed kai. as I am thinking that the door slides open. "hello jinora dear" I take a sip of my tea. 

"father." I say in the harshest tone I can muster. I do meet his eyes at all, I continue keeping eye contact with the wall in front of me. I feel him sit down next to me. "jinora are you well? you look like death?" he slowly tries to raise his hand to my forehead, before he can I grasp his writ, now looking him dead in the eyes, his eyes are wide with shock.

"tell me father...since when has murder been a part of our culture?" I growl, he seems at a loss for words. "he is a bandit jinora he.." I don't let hum Finnish blasting a tunnel of air at him making him fall backwards, I flip and stand to face him. "that gives you no right to try and kill him!" I snarl ready my feet to fight., he does the same. 

"jinora I don't want to fight you," he says 

"why father afraid you will lose?" I channel anther balst of air the way he dodges out fo the way sendign another back at me. i blosck it brignign the air back aroudn directiong it back at him, i do a flip landing behind my father i grab his hands bringign them down to the floor. this was a defence technique mother taught me, never thought i woudl have to use it on my father.  i look aroudn me and grab the curtian tie, i wrap it wound his writs, he looks ashamed adn defeted. i go aroudn and stand infront of him, kneelign to be at his height, "granpa aang woudl be ashmed of you." i say in a soft tone he looks down.

"I know, I don't know what came over me...kai is a good man, and he obviosly makes you happy...so i swear I won't do anything else to intervene with your reationship. " a tear rolls down his cheek, I stand and walk out. 

As I get to the door I look back at my father, "i will reserve my judgement of wheater or not i can trust you, once kai is back at my side.....Tenzin." I snarl.
