FORGIVENESS?

{WOW it really has taken me a while to update yall!! I have seen all of your comments so here ya go!!!! hope you enjoy it!!!} 

kai's pov: 

I blink, my vision is heavily hazed. I can only make out shapes and colours, the sounds of people talking are slightly muffled, one voice stands out above the rest.

"j-jinora" slowly, I try to sit feeling the soft texture of bedsheets beneath my fingers. 

"oh gods kai!" jinora gasps launching herself at me. 

"oof" I respond blinking again her face clearly fills my vision her gorgeous grey eyes tearing up, I reach my hand up and brush a stray hair behind her ear. "even crying you are breathtaking" I smoothly comment, she laughs kissing me. I slowly examing the room, pemma is stood at the door smiling at us. 

"sorry to inertupt" she smiles setting down a tray of tea on the small bedside table. I fully sit up swinging my legs off the bed, Jinora hugs my side. "ugh what happended...how did?" I groan the world still appearing slightly fuzzy. 

"My father happened!" Jinora coldly exclaims staring forward. suddenly, it all come back to me, the room the tea. 

"where? where is tenzin now?" I ask pemma passes me a cup of tea. 

"oh don't you worry about him... I am sure he has been kncked into place" she smiles, "what matters my dear is you are awake and the wedding is tomorrw!" she states excitedly 

"mom do you really think the wedding should happend , after you know everything that has happened?" jinora asks, I take her hand and squeeze it "hey after everything that has happended today is the perfect time to get married" i gently kiss her on the cheek. 

"wonderful now jinora come with me, there is so much to do" pemma explains placing her hand on jinoras shoulder gesturing her out. 

Tenzin's pov: 

i sit crossed legged on the living room floor in front of the fire, "oh father, was I ever like this as a child. Did you ever despare in me? I know she loves him and he will do all that is right for her. It is too late to apologise, they will never give me a second chance" i speak into the empty room. I hear the door creak open turning to see "kai" i stumble to my feet. I am genuinely surprised to see him, I can't meet his eyes, "kai my boy...i...i really am sorry, you love my daughter and would genuinely do anything for her. I should have never got in the way." silence. He says nothing I keep my head down, I cannot  look at him, how can i after the way i have treated him.

"A wise man once said "admitting your fears is the first and most difficult step in overcoming them" i look up at him...i..i had been the one to say that. he smiles at me. "hey I get it, im a was a bandit and you have all right to be sacred of me, but I promise you this." He steps toward me,"even if i will never frogive you, we are family and I will do anything to keep jinora happy" he says I swallow, "I understand, I will never  get in the way of the two of you again." he puts his hand out "truce" he smirks, god the is still a childish boy at times. I shake "For jinrora" I state. 

************************ TIME SKIP TO THE EVENING********************************

Jinora's pov: 

well my father is back at the table, I can't forgive him but at least he is no longer trying to kill my soon to be husband. 

"so Jinora do I haveeee to wear a dress tomorrow?" Ikki asks he mouth full of rice even as an adult she is still my cheeky little sister. "because i can't do super cool fights in a dress and- " 

"yes Ikki you will be wearing a dress tomow we wiil have no fights at the weddign, now stop eating like an animal adn sit properly." mother scolds. kai squeezes my hand under the table I look at him and smile he leans down to whisper in my ear "hey you up for a midnight walk" he aks. 

once we have finnised supper I walk out with kai hand in hand into the cool evening air. The light from the moon illuminating his face, god i love this man. He leads me down to the small stretch of beach to the back of the temple. This remiands me of the night he proposed the stars even seem to be in the same place. 

we finally reach a more secluded part of the beach he lays down, following his lead, we look up at the stars. "The stars are like a million tiny gems in the sky"he sates squeezing my hand I hug into his side, he protectively wraps his arm around me. his small action of affection makes me feel safe...he makes me feel safe, a comet could hit the earth and I wouldn't care because he has me safe in his arms. "kai" i whisper he humms in responce "I love you" he turns to look at me, I do the same, our faces inces apart. 

"I love you too Jinroa, I love you to the moon and back a million times" he whispers then leaning in to kiss him, its a short sweet kiss,before he wraps me in his arms again. "I can't wait to have you by my side for the rest of my life" he says, I close my eyes breathing in the moment, breathing in him.
