𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒'𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕

"Jude..."
I say "What you doing here ?"

He smiles "𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮, I wanted to talk."

I nod "Uhmm well come in." I then stood aside to let him in.

As he walked in I quietly shut the door so I didn't wake Jeremiah up.

"How do you know where I live Jude?" I questioned

"Your mum." He says.

He then looks around the living room and I know he's definitely looking at all of Jeremiah's toys.

To change the subject I tell him to go into the kitchen. "Come to the kitchen."

He then follows me. It was very awkward between us.

"You want a drink?" I asked
He nodded "Yeah please you have tea?"

I laugh "Yeah obviously." I then turn the kettle on and wait for it to boil.

"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked while pouring the hot water into the mug ready to give to him.

He then says "About us and sort the way we left each other ."

I then correct him "Do you mean how you left me?"

He shakes his head "Why you blaming me for leaving you because of my football career it's not my fault."

I laugh "Wow you can be so selfish you left me at the worst time possible and you look like you've moved on specially with your Spanish girlfriend and well you know what so have I." As I raise my voice more forgetting about Jeremiah.

He then says "It's fake."

"What's fake?" I ask confused

He then says "The relationship my manager set it up because I needed a good perspective on me as a person since I'm a footballer and all that."

I then rolled my eyes "You know what Jude I don't even care, you've wasted your time coming here."

He then looks down at his cuppa "I wish things turned out differently between us Ines, I still love you and always will."

I then have tears in my eyes and try to hard to not let them out knowing how much I've struggled with Jeremiah on my own and giving birth without Jude knowing Jude's missed out on half of his sons life. "Well it's too late for that Jude."

All of a sudden a little voice shouts from upstairs "Mummy!" I then realised it's Jeremiah. Shit. Jude then begins to speak but I cut him off by quickly walking to the stairs
to see Jeremiah sat at the top of the stairs "Can I come down for a bit mummy I had a nightmare."

I nod "Yeah of course, only for a bit though baby." Jeremiah then smiles.

I then hold his hand to walk him down the stairs into the kitchen to make him a drink.

Jude then looks towards Jeremiah.

I quickly make Jeremiah a drink of Juice and pick him up to walk towards the dining table with his iPad.

I then walk back to Jude. "So you have a son now?" Jude says.

I nod "Yep he's changed my life in a good way and I love him very much."

Jude smiles "He's cute what's his name?"

I then go silent for a moment to think if I should tell him his full name or just his First name.

I then get distracted by Jude calling my name "Ines?"

I then blurt out "His name is Jeremiah Rivers Bellingham."

Jude then goes silent with wide eyes and then turns around to look at Jeremiah again.

He then turns back at me "So he's mine?" I then nod and look down and start to spill tears.

Jude then says "Why didn't you tell me." Sounding upset.

"I was going to but then you told me you were moving away to Madrid so I didn't want to put the stress on you before you went." I say while still looking down.

He then sounded really hurt "Still Ines he's my son I should know about my son and when he was in your womb I've missed half of his life, what hurts more is that he won't know about me at all."

I then look at him "I'm sorry Jude but I just couldn't come up to tell you. I was angry that the fact you just left and I didn't have the chance to say I was pregnant with him so I had to everything on my own."

Jude then looks back down "You wouldn't of had to if you told me I would of been there for you two and supported you."

I then shrugged "I thought all you cared about was football."

Jude then shakes his head "Ines I'm gonna go I need to get my head around this." He then got up and walked to the door. All of a sudden the door slammed shut.

After Jude left Jeremiah then looks at me from the dining table from where I last put him "Mummy who was that man."

I then go up to Jeremiah and bend down to speak to him. Now was the time to tell him since Jude now knows. "It was your dad my love."

Jeremiah's face then lighted up.

As soon as I seen the big smile on Jeremiah's face I felt like such an awful mum and person but I knew I kept it a secret for so long for a reason.
