All of them head outside of the house and group up.

Paimon: So, where do we go from here?

Traveler: Cyno, do you remember the route you took?

Cyno: Yes. After leaving the village, we should head straight toward the desert.

While following Cyno, Isak and Paimon are talking to each other. After some time, Cyno spotted something buried in the sand.

Cyno: *Crouching* There's something here.

Cyno: *Searching* What's this...?

Alhaitham: It's buried in the sand... Looks like we'll need to roll up our sleeves and do some work.

Paimon: And Paimon thought running around everywhere was already enough work!

Traveler: Now isn't the time for complaining, Paimon.

Paimon: Okay, okay... So, we have to dig it out? Whatever's down there looks like it's buried really deep.

With some effort, they manage to dig up the buried item.

Y/n: ...' Why do I feel like I've seen something similar to these devices before...?'

Alhaitham: These are likely fragments of an Akademiya-developed device, something akin to a headset. Looks like there were more than one Village Keeper.

Alhaitham: They must have been escorted this way, because there is device fragments scattered around here... Let's split up and search the area. Chances are that we'll find other things nearby.

Y/n: As long as we find it faster, the sooner we figure everything out.

Soon, everyone heads different direction and start to dig deeper into the sand. After a while, they manage to dig up more devices under the sand.

Paimon: Is this what we're searching for? It looks kinda scary...

Alhaitham: This is definitely a device used to extract divine knowledge.

Cyno: How did it end up buried in the sand? That can't have been part of the plan. They must've been attacked along the way.

Paimon: Wait, what!?

Isak: Grandpa... I hope you're okay...

Paimon: Don't worry, your grandpa's gonna be fine!

Alhaitham: Razak didn't display any signs of starvation or dehydration, which means that they left fairly recently.

Cyno: We should be able to catch up.

Alhaitham: One more thing, given that the device had been entirely covered by sand... I believe the attack must have happened prior to the sandstorm.

Traveler: I agree.

Cyno: Let's keep going. They can't have gone far.

All of them continue to follow Cyno. While Paimon was complaining about "walking on sand" for too long. After a while, they arrive at an abandoned building.

Y/n: Quiet, there's voices...

Cyno: *Nods* It seems like an argument...

Paimon: Whoa, you guys have really good ears...

Soon, they hid behind the rocks.

Cyno: Don't get any closer. They'll notice us.

While they're listening in, they overheard Dehya talking to the eremites.
