Sawyer Clementine and AJ enter the courtyard.
"I did that." AJ says quietly
"Come on." Clementine takes AJ's hand as Sawyer follows silently, thinking about what happened just then in his room
"Do we even remember how to do this?" Louis asks
"Talk, put flowers on their graves, and sing. I think." Violet explains
"Anything else?" Louis raises an eyebrow
"I don't see you coming up with any brilliant ideas." Violet grits her teeth
"It'll be nice." Tenn smiles, trying to break the tension
"They're not gonna be here, are they?" Louis asks
Tenn frowns. "Marlon and Brody were their friends too."
"Fuck's sake." Louis folds his arms leaning his weight on one foot
"Right now, let's just focus on what we're here to do. Okay?" Violet asks clearly fed up
Clementine, Sawyer and AJ walk up to the others at the graveyard.
"Oh, God, they're here." Aasim steps back
"So what? They knew Brody, didn't they?" Violet says defending Clementine and AJ
"Yeah, but Marlon--" Omar starts
Violet cuts him off "Just leave them alone."
"Shit." Louis mutters
Ruby steps beside Sawyer "How's your head sug?"
Sawyer barely looks at her and just gently balls his hands into fists
"Right, sorry" Ruby steps back
"We're here for Brody and Marlon. They died." Violet says
"Clem?" AJ says quietly
"What?" Clementine asks
"Why do people have funerals? Tenn said they used to have them more. But I don't get it." AJ looks up at Clementine
"Well, to say goodbye to someone you've lost." Clementine explains
"But they're dead." AJ interupts
"This is your last chance to see them before they're gone forever." Clementine continues
"It's kinda like they're playing pretend. Pretending Marlon didn't do all the bad stuff he did." AJ says as Sawyer looks down at him
"Let's just get through this." Clementine says
"I made them all sad. Like if someone took you away." AJ says looking at the group in mourning
Clementine says nothing.
"Shit. Brody, she was... she was real sweet. She had big dreams. And we all knew they wouldn't come true, but we didn't care. And we didn't care because when she was talking, whatever she said seemed possible." Violet says with her hands together, her fingers interlocked gently
"Does everyone get a funeral?" AJ Asks
"People do. Some animals, too." Clementine explains
"Even monsters?" AJ Asks
"We'll miss you, Brody." Omar says
"I don't know if she found the place she dreamed about, but I'm gonna miss her." Violet looks at the grave
"We all will." Louis adds
"Marlon did bad things, but he wasn't a monster." Clementine says
"Tch" Sawyer folds his arms and looks at the bloodstains on the grass
