...

They had spent the morning in each other's arms. Rafe was lying with his head on Jazmine's legs, his eyes fixed on the TV, while she read a book.

It was a morning like any other. The couple had woken up, gone for a run with Bella, and then taken a shower together before settling into their usual routine.

"I still don't get it," Rafe muttered, breaking the silence.

Jazmine lifted her eyes from her book, her gaze drifting toward him.

"How does she turn young one minute and then back to being an old lady the next? Wasn't the witch supposed to curse her?"

"She did," Jazmine replied simply, her voice calm. "But it wasn't really a curse."

She closed her book and tilted her head slightly to look at him better. "The witch cast a spell, but it was actually Sophie who held onto it. She saw herself as someone unlovable, so the spell stayed. But whenever she felt loved, the spell broke."

"Hm," Rafe mused, his expression thoughtful.

Jazmine leaned back into the couch, smiling faintly. "You know, he built that huge castle just to search for her everywhere."

"That's so romantic."

"Are you saying I'm not romantic?" Rafe shot back, an eyebrow raised, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Not as much as he is. You know, Howl was actually my first crush when I saw this movie for the first time."

Jazmine's lips curled into a soft smile as she reminisced. "He's gallant and kind."

"Howl's also a coward," Rafe pointed out. "Don't you remember the scene where he sends Sophie to the palace in his place?"

"I can live with that. He's hot."

"Sure."

"I love his hair," Jazmine added with a grin. "Long hair on a guy always works."

"I could grow mine out if you want," Rafe offered, his tone light but serious.

"You'd do that?"

"If it helps you forget your crush on that idiot."

Jazmine chuckled. "Rafe, he's a 2D character. He doesn't even exist."

"Doesn't mean it doesn't bother me."

She laughed softly, shaking her head. "I never took you for the jealous type."

"You know I am."

"That's true," Jazmine admitted, her eyes softening.

Rafe straightened up slightly, moving closer to Jazmine. His fingers reached out, gently catching a strand of her hair, letting it slip through his fingers as he studied her face with an almost teasing expression.

"Do you remember Eden?" he asked, his voice low, laced with a hint of amusement.

Jazmine frowned, her gaze sharp and questioning. "Who?"

Rafe chuckled, the sound low and amused. Jazmine had an excellent memory most of the time, but only for things she cared about. He found himself oddly satisfied that Eden wasn't one of them.
