"i saw her on an empty hall talking with some guy but they were pretty close and i didn't think much of it when i saw it but why was so so close to him?" mila explains

"and you didn't tell me until just now.."

"they're probably just friends" she shrugs

"what did he look like?" i ask her trying to see if it's who i think it is cause if so that's just her friend, he's gay.

"like nate from euphoria..." she say and i realize i don't know who the fuck she talking about

"never seen him" i say. even if they are just friends why were they together on an empty hallway and why has she never spoke of this friend. she's only introduced me to two other friends. "when was this?"

"the beginning of the school year"

"oh! that ain't got nothing to do with me" i let out a sigh of relief, we weren't even dating then.

"okay good but you can't go back to her" she say

"why? you want me or something?"

"no but you deserve better than her" she tells me

"im going to head home before my parents get worried" i stand up and throw my plate in the trash

as soon as i turn around she wraps her arms around me hugging me tightly.

"i might miss you" she say

"i might miss you too" i tell her

"drive safe ugly!" she say letting go

"byee" i say before grabbing my bag and leaving out the house

i get into my car and drive back home listening to the new sza album. as soon as i step foot into the house elijah kicks me.

"what the hell!" i say cause that was so unprovoked

"why would you leave!!" he say angrily

"can i not have a sleepover?!! when you get older you're going to be leaving too" i say

he shakes his head denying before running off. damn no apology or nothing. "mom get your bad ass kid!!" i call out

as soon as i get to my room, i open all the texts from destiny. i decide to text her back with a plan. i always get my lick back.
