"Miss Lee, don't you think we should be in school instead?" Y/n respectfully questioned why they were told to skip school for the day.
"Meetings might be boring most times but this one is an emergency," Hyein coldly responded.
"Couldn't one of the other girls do it?" Y/n didn't really understand.
"I am being trained to take over. I need to learn to make decisions on my own without the help of anyone else. Else I'll be seen as weak when it's all official," Hyein explained.
"Okay," Y/n lowkey hummed.
As they both walked into The KKMLP building, Y/n lowered their head out of respect.
"Keep your head up. People need to understand that they also need to respect you," Hyein ordered when she saw all her staff staring.
"Yes, Ma'am!" Y/n quickly obeyed.
It was still odd to Y/n to have to listen to Hyein's every order. Y/n was used to Hyein not having much say in anything at home. Minji was in charge of The Hooligan's so it was strange to hear her be so authoritative with the staff at The KKMLP building.
"If you lower your head like that everyone will think that I just yelled at you or something. Everyone will start looking down on you. People here may be nice but that doesn't stop rumors from getting around," Hyein held her head high as she walked through the building.
Y/n followed behind like they had been for some time now.
"Understood," Y/n respectfully responded.
- Hyein POV -
I was starting to wonder why someone would call a meeting for something so easy to rectify. I had skip class and come show face for something that could've been solved without me.
"Y/n-ssi, please go get me some coffee," I briefly stopped the meeting so Y/n could be excused.
"Yes, Ma'am!" Y/n quickly got up to run out of the conference room.
I didn't mind Y/n listening to all the details about what was going on. It made no difference than how they would listen to our Hooligans business at home...
The only rule there ever was that Y/n could not hear the final decisions.
It was no different at The KKMLP.
As Hooligans, we never wanted Y/n to judge us by our decisions...
And now, as The KKMLP director, I didn't want them to judge me based on my decisions here as well.
I looked up to Sunbae too much.
"Now that the kid's gone," I sighed.
I always hated having to behave like Y/n was just another employee. Just another intern that inexperienced and dispensable.
I personally never thought like that and I tried to influence all the higher ups, managers, and board members to really value people but you can never change a person who doesn't see the error in their ways.
"Yes. Let's hope that kid doesn't go blabbing to others about this!" One of the managers looked annoyed.
"If Y/n was like that then I would not trust them to join the meetings," I didn't like his disrespect towards Sunbae.
The whole room fell silent.
I didn't get mad often, but I could not allow someone to disrespect someone from my family.
