LEAVING

"So, you're really doing this?" Hanni watched Y/n pack.

Y/n looked over at her and smiled.

"Questioning things makes people second guess. We should see what Y/n is really made of before attempting to correct a course," Minji tried to be the leader she was.

To her, seeing how far people went with their own thoughts and free will was important.

Whether good or bad.

Minji already knew what Y/n was made of... she knew Y/n wouldn't stray away from their plan... but a good part of her hoped Y/n changed their mind.

Minji wanted it to be Y/n's own decision though.

No begging, manipulation, or slight logic could be used toward Y/n.

Y/n knew how to rationalize anything they truly wanted to believe...

And emotions were often behind it.

But, Y/n knew just how to play the game to the point of making everyone else believe what they believed.

It's the reason The OGs knew better than to force Y/n to be a Hooligan. They knew having someone as persuasive and free-thinking in their gang was a bad idea. Y/n could get upset and have the whole crew turn against them.

- Y/N POV -

"Sunbae, can I still text you whenever I want?" Hyein asked as I put all my belongings into Miyawaki's car.

"I need to keep the right distance," I exhaled.

Danielle and Haerin both tilted their heads with Hyein furrowing her brows behind them.

"What do you mean?" Hanni asked.

"If I'm too close... then I can be corrupted... and if I'm too far... then I won't be able to look out for you all..," I explained.

"I love you all. I will always love you. I just have to keep my distance to be able to love you all correctly," I stepped closer to give everyone a hug.

"Well," Minji cleared her throat.

"Whenever you need us... just give us a call... once a Hooligan... always a Hooligan," Minji placed her hand in a position to do the OG handshake.

My lip tried to go into a pout but I quickly caught it. I always tried to pretend like The OGs were just busy. That they just didn't have time to come home...

But I couldn't do that anymore.

This was the end.

The end of it all.

The final goodbye.

"Let's rise up together!" I slapped Minji's hand before pulling her into a hug.

"Call whenever you need us," Minji whispered into my ear.

"Rain," Hanni seemed to hear what she said.

"Snow," Hyein shrugged a bit.

"Sunlight!" Dani giggled.

"Or foggy nights," Haerin gave me a smile.

"You'll always have a home with us," Minji did her best not to cry.

I smiled at them one last time and grabbed my last bag.

I wanted to be strong.

But, I wanted to be weak too...

Though, I knew better than to not keep moving forward. I could cry all I wanted. I could do everything I wanted to do in that moment... but it wouldn't do anything for me... I had to keep moving forward.

"Let's go," Hyein grabbed my hand.

I looked down at our hands and a silent tear began to roll down my cheek.

The girl I considered to be my little sister...

Was walking me off to the end of it all.

"Y/n-ssi!" Miyawaki walked out of her car excitedly.

"Hi," I tried to greet her with a hug but Hyein's hand wouldn't let go.

"Hyein, let go," Danielle suddenly ordered her.

Hyein just pouted and shook her head.

"Don't worry. I promise to take really good care of Y/n," Sakura tried to assure her.

"We can do better," Hyein squeezed my hand.

"Minji," I awkwardly cleared my throat. Wanting Minji to handle the situation.

If Hyein kept being this way, it was possible that I would change my mind. It broke my heart to have to leave but it completely destroyed me to see Hyein like this.

"C'mon," Minji stepped up to grab Hyein's hand.

"Y/n needs to get going and we've got a few meetings to attend today," She gently guided Hyein away from me.

"Boss, we need to get going. Your flight home is scheduled to depart in an hour," One of Sakura's guards suddenly announced.

"Right," Miyawaki took a deep breath.

"Ready to go?" She flashed me a forced smile as she opened the car door for me.

I sternly nodded before getting in the car. Miyawaki closed the door behind me, then turned to bow at the girls.

"Thank you everything. I promise to keep Y/n safe," She said before getting in the car.
