"Was I the only one who saw them kiss?" Hanni was so confused.
"Crap!" Minji mumbled when she realized she should keep her emotions on check.
To the rest of the girls, Y/n still had a girlfriend.
Sakura Miyawaki.
The only reason she wasn't there with them was because she wasn't a hooligan. Mixing civilians with hooligan events wasn't allowed.
"All I saw was Sunbae pushing Unnie away for trying to kiss them. Sunbae is dating someone anyway," Hyein responded.
"Yeah, why would you try to kiss someone in a relationship?" Dani questioned.
"It was just a misunderstanding," Y/n tried to help out.
Y/n had lost sight a bit too.
'Dating' Miyawaki was hard when they barely even acted like a couple or spent time together. Especially now that Y/n was working at The KKMLP, they would just forget that they even had a girlfriend.
- Hanni POV -
I still felt like something weird was going on. Especially after I saw Y/n peck Minji's lips.
While everyone was seating around opening presents and watching Christmas movies, I pulled Minji aside to have a little talk.
"Spill it," I crossed my arms in anger.
"Spill what?" Minji tried to act stupid.
"I know something is going on between you and the Yakuza girl. I noticed it months ago but I thought maybe I was just imagining it. I see now that I wasn't wrong. So, tell me what's going on," I backed her up into the wall.
I wasn't going to let Minji wiggle herself out of this one.
"There's nothing going on. I'm just letting Miyawaki look after Y/n while I find a way to help her out," Minji scoffed and pushed me back a bit.
"You're actually trying to help her? I thought you just let her stick around because she's dating Y/n," I furrowed my brows in confusion.
When I really thought about it... I had no idea why Minji even allowed them to date...
"Well that too," Minji sighed.
"But we did kidnap and beat her over a misunderstanding. And she hasn't given us a reason to not trust her story. Besides, Y/n rarely asks for our help so I don't see what the big deal is," She explained a bit.
I scoffed at the last part.
"The big deal? The big deal is that if we help her out we could become enemies of the Yakuza. Just because she said they're very diplomatic about things like not messing with big international business doesn't mean that's the truth," I huffed out.
It was true that Miyawaki seemed sincere in her demeanor but we couldn't just trust her. What if everything turned into the worst case scenario?
It's almost like she hadn't learned anything from letting Y/n date Yunah.
"I know that. That's why I'm collecting more information. Getting in touch with former Yakuza and business partners. I'm not just going to help her without proof. As of now, she's taking really good care of Y/n and hasn't given us any trouble. I don't see a reason to not help her," Minji was doing her due diligence this time around.
"Can you just trust me for a little longer?" She exhaled deeply.
I took a deep and decided to let it go.
