Two years had passed since Sakura walked out on Y/n. Their divorce was all handled by mail and lawyers. It only took them 6 months for their divorce to finalize but things never seemed the same after that.

Y/n took on an office job at a random company and ran the community center on their off time. At times, Y/n felt like running back to The Hooligans... but most times... it felt like it was better to be alone. The constant uncertainty of a life they never asked for was too much.

The Hooligans still operated as usual, with some minor changes.

The KKMLP became an even bigger corporation, thanks to its new CEO, and expanded outside of the country.

Things seemed to be going well for everyone...

There was just one thing out of place.

- Y/N POV -

"I heard The KKMLP is trying to buy us out."

"An acquisition? Do you think they'll fire all of us?"

"No, way. They wouldn't fire everyone!"

I had been hearing these kinds of rumors for months. I didn't usually believe them but I was very careful with anything new about it. I'd have to find a new job if The girls decided to buy out the company like that.

It's not like I could stay somewhere they were.

I'd be breaking the rules.

"She's here!" Someone suddenly exclaimed.

I grabbed my coffee from the first-floor coffee bar and made my way back up to my desk. I didn't really care about everything going on around me. I had to do my job and figure out a way to get a new one.

"Y/n-ssi!" My boss suddenly caught me on my way to my desk.

"Yes, Sir?" I straighten by back to show him some respect.

"The KKMLP executives are here and they'd like a tour of each department. You tend to help every department when you have the time. So, I figured you'd be the best person to give them a tour," My manager spoke in a tone that was friendly but nervous...

You could tell he wanted to make a good impression...

He didn't want to lose his job.

Acquisitions often left people displaced or unemployed... and I could see he was doing his best...

But, I had rules I had to follow.

"I'm sorry sir but-"

"CEO Jeong," I suddenly heard a familiar voice behind me.

I closed my eyes in dread and took a deep breath. I didn't want to turn around to face my past, but I had to.

"Oh, our guests are here. Why don't you go get some things done while I talk with the KKMLP executives," My manager saved me from having to face the girls.

"Yes, sir!" I quickly followed orders.

It was surreal to see Y/n again.

"This isn't going to work," Dani was as scared as the rest of us.

"We've made all these preparations. It has to work," Hyein tried to keep everyone's spirits up.

It had been years, but we had all been actively working towards one goal...

To get Y/n back in our lives.
