I wish for a companionship where I can play badminton with someone every day,
Where we could go swimming, side by side, every day.Where I can hug them, feel safe, and sleep holding them tight every day,
Where we could laze around the house, doing nothing, every day.We could wander the aisles, grocery shopping together every day,
Sometimes order food, sit together, and share a meal at home every day.I long for a best friend where I can be unapologetic,
Letting my thoughts spill out freely, unafraid, every day.I wish I could show my goofy side without hesitation every day.
Sometimes I wish I could break down my walls, cry like a baby, every day.I wish I could fight with my best friend every day—
Not a serious fight, but playful sparring.
And even if it’s a serious fight,
I wish we’d always choose each other over the problem, every day.I wish I could cook for my friend every day,
And never come back to an empty house every day.
I wish we’d notice the little, unspoken things about each other every day.
I just want a best friend for every day.But I just wish, I wish…
And I wonder if I’ll only ever be my own best friend,
Or if there will be another best friend in a physical form for me.
