Chapter 12

After walking through the woods, the warriors of Earthrealm eventually made it back to the tournament grounds where the other kombatants were waiting, Cain spotted Sheng Tsung sitting in his chair, Kitana, and Jade standing on his left and a pale man covered in red tribal tattoos standing to his right.

Cain felt his anger rise and his blood boil, that man, he had a similar aura to Mephisto, which made Cain want to rip his head off.

Omniverse

Mephisto stared at the pale skinned sorcerer and scoffed as if a mortal fool could ever give the same kind of aura as him, a hell lord, and ruler of the sixth sphere of Hell, it was downright laughable.

Mortal Kombat

Cain saw many kombatants that he hadn't gotten a chance to look over earlier when he fought in his first match, he spotted a woman with four arms, a red head wearing similar attire to Kitana and Jade.

"Yana, Wanda, Ororo, any intel on the red head and the four armed woman?" asked Cain through their mind link.

"Yes, the first is a woman named Sheeva, she's a Shokan, from what we've gathered, she's the same race as Goro the current champion of this tournament," said Magik over the link.

"The red head is Skarlet, she's an assassin who can use blood magic," said Wanda over the link

"Great a blood mage," Cain thought.

"The ninjas?" asked Cain looking over at a ninja in yellow, and a ninja in red.

"Syrax and Sektor, both of them are members of a clan called the Lin Kuei, lead by a man named Sub-Zero, who you met in the dungeons," said Ororo.

"Yeah, but the battle was over pretty fast it didn't really feel too much like a fight," said Cain.

"Don't get arrogant Cain, you're starting to sound like Tony," said Ororo.

"Imply that and I'll willingly throw myself into hell," said Cain.

"Now, what about the guy standing near Sheng Tsung?" asked Cain.

"Quan Chi, we don't know any of his abilities just his name," said Illyana.

Cain noticed a look of disdain on Sheng Tsung whenever he looked at Quan Chi.

"We've got someone new coming," Wanda said over their link getting Cains attention.

The Four marvel heroes turned to see who was arriving, and Raiden suddenly grunted as more visions appeared in his mind, Cain walked over towards Raiden.

"What'd you see?" Cain asked quietly.

"A troublesome student," said Raiden.

"The next match shall begin," said Sheng Tsung.

A circle of flame appears in the middle of the arena and a figure jumps out, Cain was unimpressed, before he learned Shadow Exchange that was how he tended to get around if he didn't feel like using a motorcycle.

"Scorpion, specter of the netherealm, resurrected by sorcerer Quan Chi," said Sheng Tsung.

"A demonic ninja, why can't Mephisto send those after me?" Cain asked mentally.

"Wait, he has, I just killed them all," Cain thought with a chuckle.

Marvel 616

Mephisto just growled at the riders thoughts about the assassins and demons he'd send after Cain.

Mortal Kombat

"Wait, he said specter, is he like me, Robbie, uncle Danny, and all the other Riders?" Cain asked himself looking over at Scorpion who looked over at the Shadow Rider.
