As Shadow Rider stood up he looked around his sin sense going off like an alarm, "this world smells of blood and sin," the voice of Zarathos hissed in his mind and Cain agreed.

Cain looked over at the old man on the throne eyes already glowing red as Leetha revealed his face.

"Did we get dropped in nineties action flick, you've got the old master vibe, only I want to incinerate you in hell fire," said Cain.

"Ha," laughed a man in the background.

"You know, he's kind of got a point," said Wally.

"He really does," said Connor.

"Except he said he wanted to burn him in Hell fire, so clearly not the mentor type," said Dick.

In the Injustice verse many couldn't help but feel like they've seen some of the fighters before, such as Raiden, Liu Kang, Baraka, Kitana, Shang Tsung and Sonya Blade.

In street fighter, Cammy stared at Sonya Blade, feeling as if she's seen her before, same could be said for Ryu seeing Scorpion, in marvel Thor felt as if he's seen Raiden before.

"Shadow Rider, or do you prefer Cain Blaze?" asked Sheng Tsung.

"You can call me your executioner if you don't explain what the hell is going on," growled out Cain shocking his three companions, and the people in his universe, Cain was aggressive but never so overtly so, he tended to be cool, calm, and collected.

"Somethings wrong," Wanda whispered.

"I've only seen Cain like this when we've gone to Hell to fight, he must be sensing large amounts of sin and dark energy, it may be increasing his more demonic side," said Illyana.

"You have interrupted the Mortal Kombat tournament, which is punishable by death, but I can be merciful, you and your companions may live, should you join," said Sheng Tsung trying to hide the brief moment of fear he felt for the demonic young man.

"Cain, I'm getting a bad feeling from him," said Storm.

"Yeah, me to, his soul is covered in sin and blood," Cain said.

"Is this team based or free for all?" asked Cain.

"Before I answer, why ask?" asked Sheng Tsung.

"Because this worlds making me very, very hungry," Cain hissed in a demonic voice.

"So many souls to feed on and burn, if this is a free for all I'll just enjoy the buffet," Cain said as his eyes glowed red.

"Wanda, Illyana," Storm said.

"We might be able to hold him back, if Illyana can get him into Limbo, but it's probably only going to buy us seconds since Cain has the same ability thanks to his X-Gene, my chaos magic isn't as effective as it used to be," said Wanda.

Raiden stepped forward no fear for the demon, "This is a team based tournament between two realms, Earthrealm and Outworld, each realm must have champions to battle in Mortal Kombat for the fate of each realm, if Outworld wins, Earthrealm will merge with it," said Raiden.

"Who do you fight for thunder god?" hissed out Cain.

"Earthrealm, humanity," said Raiden, he could tell the demon wanted to consume, but he could sense something in him, the will to defend humanity.

"Humanity, Earth, my home, the fathers greatest creation, I will protect," Cain thought as the red in his eyes died down to a circle surrounding his pupils.
