Shadow Riders Omniversal Journey

Chapter 5

While Cain was in the shower, Magik, Scarlet Witch, and Storm were all sitting in the living room, with the brimstone rider now out of hearing range, Ororo and Illyana turned towards Wanda.

"All right Wanda, what did you see?" asked  Illyana.

"It's better I show you two," Wanda said placing a hand on her two fellow mutant sorceresses heads and let her thoughts flow into them.

Storm, and Illyana took a breath as Wanda took her hand from their heads, "Roxy, our niece," Illyana said as she felt tears fill her eyes as she remembered the little girl.

Cains daughters and son were loved by the whole of the Midnight Suns, "he didn't deserve that," said Ororo.

Omniverse

On that the viewers could agree no parent should ever have to lose their child in anyway, especially not someone like Cain, who above all else only ever wanted a family of his own.

Template Earth

"He lost his family, and most of his friends, practically all in the same day," said Storm.

Wanda stood up, "where are you going?" asked Storm.

"Somewhere," said Wanda.

"Somewhere?" Illyana asked.

Wanda paused, her hand on the handle of the door before she turns to her two fellow magical mutants, "Cains room," Wanda said as she opened the door and went into the halls.

"Wait what?" asked Storm as she and Illyana followed after the Scarlet Witch.

The pair quickly catch up to the Transian mutant witch the Queen of Limbo and Goddess of the weather stand in front of Wanda stopping her.

"You can't just go into someones private quarters," said Storm.

"Cain doesn't even let us in his room at the Abbey," said Illyana.

"Why do you think you'll find?" asked Storm.

"Answers to my own curiosity," said Wanda as she walked past the two.

"Instead of asking him in person, you choose to sneak around his room to get answers?" asked Ororo.

"Yes," said Wanda.

"I'm in," said Illyana.

"Illyana," said Storm incuriously.

"He's suffering, he's a volcano about to go off, a powder keg thats one light away from exploding, and I don't want to see him destroy himself," said Wanda.

"There's more to this isn't there?" asked Storm.

Wanda thought back to the events of House of M, when she had changed the universe, put Mutants on top as the dominant race, and then when she in a fit of rage at her father for the death of her twin brother uttered three words that had the whole world declare her a monster.

Flashback

Mutants and humans alike were calling for the head of the Scarlet Witch, why wouldn't they, both groups now had reason to hate Wanda, humans because she gave her father his hearts desire, she put mutants as the dominant race, but then, her father killed her brother Pietro, and so she took all the Mutants powers away.

The Phoenix Force retaliated and returned powers to mutant kind and possessed five mutants till it could find Rachel and Hope who were with Shadow Rider, and Spider-Man.

As the Avengers approached the Scarlet Witch a figure landed in front of her, "enough," a cold voice said, Wanda looked up and saw the leader of the Midnight Suns, Cain Jonathan Blaze with a rage filled look in his eye.
