The door opens.
I hear footsteps coming towards Aunt Jen's bedroom.
I look over at Sondra.
Are you ready? I mouth.
Yes. She replies.
When the tall, dark figure passes us I slowly and quietly stand up. Sondra does the same. We slowly follow him to Aunt Jen's room. As soon as he opens the door and walks in the room, we trap him and us inside.
"Hey!" He screams. All of a sudden the whole room fills with light when Sondra turns on the lights.
"Now!" She says.
I pull a wooden steak out of my pocket and start at him, aiming for his heart. He jumps out of the way and grabs my neck. "You shouldn't have done that." He says.
All of a sudden his face starts turning gray and his skin feels rough. Now I realize what happened, Sondra got him.
"Nice job, babe!" I say.
"Thanks!" She replies.
I walk over to the closet where Aunt Jen was hiding and open it. "You can come out now." I say.
She walks out and sees the dead man on the floor. "You... you killed him?!" She asks.
"He was already dead!" I say, "We just killed him a second time."
She didn't reply, she stared at the body. The man's face was entirely gray now. His dead body went cold. Then, all of a sudden, the body turned to ash and seeped into the floor boards.
"Wait, why'd that happen?" I look over at Sondra, who looks as puzzled as I am.
"I'm not sure, I've never seen dead vampire bodies do that before." She replys.
"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, is it?" I ask nervously.
"I don't think so." Sondra replys.
Then Jen screamed.
Her eyes flashed from blue to all black.
"Hello, kids." Said the man's voice.
