Jungkook’s frustration was boiling over as he leaned back in his seat, his jaw clenched tightly. Four days—four agonizing days without Y/N. The thought of her being out of his reach gnawed at him, a constant reminder that he had failed to protect her. His power, his dominance—everything he stood for—felt questioned.
"Master, we must proceed with caution. They're on high alert, and their security will be impenetrable," Iseul stated firmly, her voice steady but cautious.
Jungkook only hummed in acknowledgment, his dark eyes fixated out the airplane window. The stormy skies reflected the storm within him.
"Master," Iseul began again, softer this time, "you need to eat. You haven’t had anything, not even a drop. You’ll need your strength for what’s ahead."
He didn’t respond, his silence an answer in itself. Iseul sighed and returned to her seat next to Namjoon, her elder brother. "He’ll be fine once we get her back," Namjoon reassured her quietly. "You’ll see."
Across the cabin, a subordinate approached hesitantly, his head bowed. "Master, we’ve received updates from our insiders," he said, voice trembling slightly under Jungkook's piercing gaze.
"Speak," Jungkook commanded, his tone cold and demanding.
"Y/N is safe, for now," the man reported quickly. "She’s being kept in a secluded house away from the locals. This improves our chances of retrieving her without drawing too much attention."
Jungkook’s lips curled into a dark smirk. "Good," he murmured, his voice low and dangerous

The sunlight streamed through the delicate curtains, gently warming Y/N's skin as she stirred awake. The weather here felt different—soft, inviting—yet it did little to lighten the heaviness in her heart. She stretched lazily, hoping the morning routine might shake off her fatigue, but even after freshening up, the ache inside her remained.
Returning to her bed, Y/N lay down again, staring at the ceiling as if it might give her answers. The silence of the house made her thoughts louder, forcing her to confront the storm swirling within her. Curling up in a ball, she pressed her knees to her chest and shut her eyes.
Her mind replayed every moment—Jungkook’s smile, his voice calling her "my love," and the unsettling revelations from Jimin and Taehyung. Were they lying to her, or had her husband been hiding a darker truth all along? Her thoughts were a maze, leading her in circles, never closer to the clarity she so desperately sought.
"How did it come to this?" she whispered to herself, her voice trembling. Her fingers traced the space on her hand where her wedding ring once rested. Even that connection to him was gone now.
She clenched her fists, frustrated by her inability to find a solution. Running seemed futile, but facing Jungkook with so much doubt in her heart felt even worse. What was right? What was wrong? For now, all she had were questions, and no one seemed willing to give her the answers.
