Third person's pov

Taehyung's grip on Jimin's shoulders loosened as his entire body froze, his face pale with disbelief. "What?" he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Sacrifice? You can't mean-"

"Taehyung, I didn't want this either!" Jimin's voice was desperate as he pulled away from his friend's grasp. "I tried to find another way, but the elders..." He trailed off, his shoulders sagging under the weight of his guilt.

The sudden roar of car engines shattered the tense silence inside the church. The driver rushed to the window, peeking through the dusty glass with trembling hands. "I-it's our people!" he stammered, his voice a strange blend of fear and relief.

Jimin acknowledged the statement with a sharp nod, his expression stoic. Turning back to Y/N, his gaze softened, but his words carried a weight that pressed down on the room. "You might think this decision is cruel, even heartless," he began, his voice steady, "but it's for the greater good."

"The greater good?" Taehyung's voice was laced with anger and disbelief as he stepped forward. "How can you justify asking someone to give up their life for this? Y/N is not a tool for your cause!"

Jimin's calm facade cracked, frustration flashing in his eyes as he turned to Taehyung. "You're not thinking clearly!" he shouted, his voice ringing through the wooden hall. "This isn't about one person. It's about saving countless lives. Can't you see that?"

"And you think this is the only way?" Taehyung shot back, his fists clenched at his sides. "Have you even tried to find another solution? Or have you all just accepted this because it's convenient?"

Jimin's jaw clenched at Taehyung's words, his retort poised to leave his lips. But before he could speak, the low rumble of engines filled the air once more, louder and more commanding than before.

The sound reverberated through the wooden church, growing closer and stronger. The atmosphere tensed further, thick with apprehension.

"Who could it be this time?" one of the younger men murmured, his voice tinged with confusion. "The people meant to guard us are already here."

The driver's face paled, fear washing over him as he darted behind the altar. "This... This isn't right," he whispered to himself.

Taehyung moved cautiously toward the window, his steps hesitant. Pulling the curtain aside just enough to peek through, his eyes widened in shock. A fleet of SUVs and trucks were parked outside, their engines still running. Men poured out, armed and purposeful, their silhouettes menacing under the dim moonlight.

Then his gaze landed on one figure-a towering, commanding presence that stood apart from the rest. When Taehyung's eyes locked onto the man's face, his breath caught. The piercing gaze, sharp jawline, and familiar aura sent a shiver down his spine.

Taehyung staggered back from the window, his heart pounding wildly. His chest rose and fell with rapid breaths as though he had seen a ghost.

"What happened?" Y/N asked, her voice shaky and filled with concern. She stepped closer to him, her brows furrowed in worry.

Taehyung swallowed hard, his voice barely above a whisper. "J-Jungkook..."

The name hung in the air like a death sentence. Y/N's eyes widened in alarm, and without a second thought, she rushed toward the window.

But before she could reach it, Jimin lunged forward, grabbing her arm with a firm grip. His eyes were desperate, his tone pleading as he spoke. "Don't. Please, don't," he begged, his voice trembling.

Y/N froze, her heart pounding as she stared at Jimin's anguished face. "Now what?" Y/N demanded, her voice laced with anger as she glared at Jimin.

Jimin's face was pale, his usual composure shattered. "H-he won't be able to come inside," he stammered, his tone filled with fear. "Just stay here. Don't go out there like that! If Jungkook sees you, he'll lose control. He'll kill all of us! He's furious, Y/N-he'll destroy everything!"
