"Jungkook?" I whispered, my voice barely carrying through the thick air of shock. "Is he telling the truth?"

Jungkook's eyes stayed fixed ahead, his jaw locked, his hold on me unshaken. And then, in a blink, the chaos of the church disappeared - we were standing deep inside the dense forest.
No footsteps. No rushing.
He had teleported.

"Answer me!" I yelled, my fists pounding weakly against his chest. "Why won't you say anything?! Why are you silent?!"
The betrayal twisted inside me, burning worse than any wound.
Jungkook's jaw tightened, like he was holding something back.
"Y/N, please... calm down," he said, his voice low - calm, but cold.
Before I could argue, he gently set me down on my feet. His hands rose to cup my face with a tenderness that made my chest ache.

"Let me see you properly," he whispered, his thumbs brushing my cheeks. "It's been too long, my love."
His voice was full of a love so raw, so real, it made my anger falter.
No... Taehyung must be wrong.
How could a man who held me like this, who looked at me like I was his whole world...
How could he ever hurt me?
How could he ever hurt my parents?

I closed my eyes at his touch, tears slipping down my cheeks.
Breathing in deeply, I caught his familiar scent - the one I'd missed so painfully.
"Jungkook..." I whispered, my voice trembling as I opened my eyes.
And then, before I could say more, his lips crashed onto mine.
He kissed me with a hunger, a desperation, like he was afraid it might be the last time.

His large hands roamed my body, desperate to feel every inch - my back, my neck, my arms, my waist, my hands.
He touched me like he was memorizing me all over again.
When I finally started struggling for breath, he pulled away, our lips parting slowly.
His crimson eyes locked onto mine, unflinching.

"Yes," he said in a low, grave voice, "I killed your parents."

And just like that, it felt as if the ground was ripped out from under me.

"What?" The word slipped from my lips like a broken breath. My mind spun. How could he say that? Why would he do it?

"Y/N," Jungkook said softly, his voice eerily calm as his eyes bore into mine, "just relax..."

And suddenly, I felt it - a strange warmth washing over my body. My muscles loosened, my limbs going limp. I couldn't move, couldn't resist. He caught me in his arms like I weighed nothing.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, brushing hair from my face. "I had to use magic... but it's for your own good."

Everything slowed down. My heartbeat, my thoughts. I felt... calm. For the first time in weeks, I felt peace - even as confusion clouded my mind. My eyes blinked slowly, watching him, empty.

He looked down at me, gaze gentle but haunted.

"I know what I did was beyond forgiveness..." he began, voice low and steady, "but I at least have the right to tell you the reason behind it. For that, you have to be calm and listen to me."
