As I slowly regained consciousness, a dull ache throbbed in my head, and my body felt stiff and confined. It didn’t take long to realize I was in a box—cramped, dark, and suffocating. Panic surged through me as I tried to move my hands and feet, only to find them restrained.

Before I could make sense of what was happening, the lid of the wooden box creaked open, letting in a sliver of dim light. My vision was blurry, but I could make out the silhouette of a man. He was wearing a black mask, his movements deliberate and unsettling.

Before I could utter a word or even fully react, he leaned forward and sprayed something in my direction. The sharp, chemical scent overwhelmed my senses, and within seconds, my world faded back into darkness.

(Some time later)

As I opened my eyes, the warm glow of a fireplace greeted me, its light dancing across fur-lined blankets covering me. Above, soft fabric draped the ceiling, and through the large, clear panels of the tent, I glimpsed a blindingly white, snowy expanse stretching endlessly. The luxurious furnishings around me felt foreign, and an uneasy chill crept through the cozy warmth.

As my vision cleared, I noticed a woman sitting beside me. She had a calm demeanor and smiled warmly as she saw me stir. “You’re awake,” she said softly. “I’ll call the doctor.”

“Doctor?” I asked, confused, my voice hoarse and questioning.

She nodded. “You’ve been unconscious for a while. We just need to check your vitals to make sure you’re okay.”

Still disoriented, I forced myself to ask, “Where am I? What’s going on?”

Her expression remained gentle but unreadable. “Soon,” she replied, “everything will be explained to you.”

The doctor checked me over, carefully assessing for any fever or signs of illness. After a few minutes, he nodded with a reassuring smile. "You’re perfectly fine," he said before leaving the tent.

The woman returned, now holding a bowl of warm soup and a piece of bread. She placed them on the small table beside me and urged me to eat. "You need to regain your strength," she said kindly.
