chapter 9

Jace pov***

As soon as he started to fall I jumped over the edge. Diving head first. I go down and come back up. When I see josh slpash I swim up to his. Well more like down to him. I thought it was a dream. What the hell.

As I grab him I put my mouth on his and push my air into his mouth. He gasps into my mouth and my lungs squeeze. and I shove upwards towards the surface. I pull him to the bank. His chest stopped moving.

I can't believe this.

I start CPR. I push my mouth on his. I push air in his mouth and shove down on his chest. Air,chest,air,chest. He sits bolt up almost pushing me back In  the process. He spits out water and gasps. When he sees me he tackles me.

"Jace....you....you saved me. I almost drowned. Not only are you my mate but a hero. I love you." He says and smashed his lips to mine. I smile into the kiss.

"I love you to babe." I say.

Suddenly he is on top of me. My hands above my head. Him kissing me. I kiss back just as needily. When some one clears their throat.

I look up and see the guy who pushed him over the edge. I growl. The man comes over and picks up josh. His teeth transform into longer sharper teeth. They aren't wolf teeth they are...hybrid.

"Stop, what are you doing?!" I yell at him. He looks at me. "You cannot mate with him." The hybrid said.

I look at him. What the hell is he talking about?

"Uh yes I can and I am. Now explain yourself." I say. I look at josh. He is struggling to get the hybrid to let go of his neck. His face is turning this purple blue color for lack of oxygen.

"And let go of him you are killing him!" I scream at him. The hybrid lets go. Josh falls down gasping for air.

I run to him and cradle him in my arms. "Shh, its OK I got you. It's OK. Shh." I cooed. He looked up at me. I kissed his forehead. And glared at the hybrid.

"Why can't we?" I say. I look at my mate he looks so vulnerable. I hate it.

"Because one of you will get pregnant. You are in heat, jace. If you have sex while in heat then you will get pregnant. When you get pregnant josh will become alpha and you the Luna. You are to young to be alpha. There is a raging war against wolves. If josh becomes alpha then he will die in war. I have seen the vision. I have visions." He said.

I gape at him. Then look at josh. I muzzle his head with my mouth. "No sex babe. Not for a while." I say. I can't have my mate killed.

 

"No, you can have sex just not for a couple months." The hybrid said. I nodded.

"What is your name? Mine is jace and this is josh as you should know." I ask politely. I haven't heard his name.

"My name is demontaé. I am the hybrid prince. I have come to help you. I would like to join your pack." He said. I look at josh. "It's not my choice it is my father's. As you said I am not alpha yet." Josh told him. Glaring.

Demontaé rubbed his neck.
"Oh ya sorry about your neck. It will heal I hope. I was just trying to save you." He said and looked at the floor.

Josh sighed and I just sat there stroking his hair. His soft, thick, curly locks swirling over my hands.

"It is OK." He said and I smiled at him. That is my mate. Very forgiving And nice. Demontaé smiles to.
    
"Well you will have to go to school so come with us, babe we have to get up. Who knows how long we have been out here." I say and lift him up. He wobbles and me and demontaé catch him.
    
"You know what never mind. We are not going to school. We will stay at my house. Besides tomorrow we need to take demontaé to alpha for entering the pack." I say and pick josh up bridal style.
 
I walk through the woods.on the way to the cave I see that josh has fallen asleep in my arms. Awwww. His head is against my arm. I bend my head down and kiss his forehead.
     
I stop at the cave. I set josh down gently. His head in my lap. His head rolls to the side and his mouth is parted slightly.
    
I smile at him.
