Chapter 16: Moving in

Melissa

"Welcome home!" The Lynchs, Ellington and Alyssa screamed as we opened the door.

"Thanks!" I say embracing each one of them.

"Please feel at home honey," Auntie hugs me. I guess I did need a motherly hug.

"I'll show you your room," Ross says.

I nod, and then we start to walk. When we reached the second floor, we walked past a few more rooms until we reached the last one.

"This," He says as he opens the door, "is your room. You could thank my siblings for setting it up later on," He adds.

"This room is quite big for a single person," I say. "But I'm not complaining.. at all," I clarify.

Ross smiles revealing his teeth as he walks towards the bed, then sits down.

"I hope you like it. Oh and by the way, my room is just accross yours. Just knock on my door whenever you need something."  He says.

"Thanks." I say as I sit beside him.

There was a few seconds of silence. I guess we ran out of things to talk about. Wait, I remember.

"Ross..." I trail off. "About the thing back in the dorm, I-I'm sorry if you got upset. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you things," I slowly face him.

"Didn't tell me things like what?" His voice was soft, and not mad at all.

"Like.... like I joined Matt's band. I just thought that it would be nice to spend time with music and all."

"I guess it's a great idea to join a band. What's it called?" He suddenly says in an interested tone.

"Well, um as of now it's called 'The Miracle" I say, a bit ashamed of it.

"Sounds holy to me," He teases.

"So.. it's alright with you?"

"Who am I to even say no?" He answers.

"Well, I was just wondering why you were upset," I said real fast.

Ross was silent. He just sat there, staring at nothing in particular.

"You want the truth?" He said.

I slowly nod, unsure of my answer.

"Two months ago, Alyssa gave me your address. I went there, but I saw you and Matt together. I got jelous. And I guess I still have a little grudge." He went straight to the point.

I was speechless. So that's what Alyssa was trying to tell me! Oh no, he might've  misunderstood us.

"Th-there's no reason to get jelous, he's just a friend I promi—"

"I know. That's why I never talked about it, until now. I just hope that wouldn't happen again." He said casually.

Then, Riker, Rocky, Ellington and Ryland came storming in while carrying my stuff.

"Ross, someone on the phone's looking for you," Riker says as he places my bag of clothes on the floor.

"Okay. I'll let you unpack," He says to me as he walks out of the room.

I nod. Then, I stand up to help the guys with my things.

"Thanks for bringing them up," I tell them.

"No prob," Ryland says.

Ross

I just got a call from Mr Ricky, telling me that we'd be having a photo shoot on Monday for Teen Beach 2. I'm really excited about the movie. It's like having a reunion with you're old friends. I just hope that things between me and Maia would be fine, and not awkward since she's my ex- girlfriend. But I know we'll do fine.
